Im in the Orange County area. I was thinking of a big bear day run Possibly Friday or Saturday, whatever is best for everyone. Its only me and would much rather not go at it alone. Any other trail recommendations welcome.

Hey guys I'll be in Big Bear next week, where do I go for some snow wheeling? I'm on 35's, beadlocks, winch and very well capable but will probably have a fairly stock 06 tundra with ko2s following. Any pointers of the start of an easy to moderate trail? I'm from Sacramento so have no clue as to where to go or start down there. Thanks!

And also are there are some laws, rules or regulations I should be aware of when wheeling down there during this time? I ask because up here certain counties, going off the paved road during certain months/seasons/weather/time is a violation.

I suggest going to the visitor center when you get to Big Bear. You can get information there on which trails are going to be open or close on those days that you plan on wheeling. We started on Pollique Canyon Rd. So that at least you would have an idea where to start.

Never thought of going to the visitor center for that information... Thanks for the suggestion! Just needed a good starting point.

Yeah. Someone pointed me to that direction and it was really helpful. So I’m just passing the word around. Pollique Canyon Rd. would be a good starting point and it branches out from there.
