Had to rinse and repeat almost a dozen times before it went to 100%. The first time ever it didn't complete on the first try. Somewhere here somebody had to try more than 30 times - if not for remembering that, I would've probably given up after a few tries and filed a ticket.

I believe yes and yes,Mat had a long day though and he may have underestimated how much work he had ahead of him. Tomorrow is still soon though. In fact it is tomorrow on the east coast right now...rpyqxrxKyMXHnavCpZzV.gif

I'm blown away how well behaved she is on 1.05 91.

5 occupants in the truck, 265/75/16 SL tires, light headwind, cruise control set at 75. Truck stayed in 6th majorty of time. Going to 5th on hills as necessary, didn't shift to 4th at all. These are Kansas "hills", but I'm still impressed since they caused truck to go 4th all the time with previous tunes on cruise control.

Seems odd so many people are experiencing unsuccessful flashes for the first time on the updated 1.05...wonder if the new flashmanager/pcmFlash will fix? Not that it is that big of a deal because you just retry, but if there is a flashing irregularity to this new file, you may like to know about it.

Correlation does not equal causation. With the crappy OEM battery getting close to expiration with some of these trucks, maybe that’s the cause? But really, who knows.

That’s happened a lot in the past to some people. It’s usually either windows is pissed off for some reason and borking the process, the cable gets bumped, their battery is low, or some trucks are just temperamental.

The OEM battery is pretty crappy. I’ve noticed my truck seems much happier on start up since I replaced it after about a year before I started having issues.

I created my zendesk a week ago. I haven’t gotten any comments yet. I don’t expect my tune file until the end of January or so. I’m waiting for the gear lock option.

This thing you just have to order and forget about it. Then be surprised when you get the file/email. :D

Story of my life: Windows updates break things and I have to spend most of my day figuring out what they broke and/or figuring out a work-around.

Quick brain dump on my many failed flashes before success if others are noticing similar patterns - maybe of use to OVTune.
I noted my battery as reported by flash manager was barely above 12v the whole time.

    In all cases:
    • When repeated flash attempts fail, it's not at a particular percentage. Sometimes it goes higher, sometimes lower.
    • The percentage counter stops and hangs briefly before failing (must be a retry of some sort?)
When not restarting flash manager between flash attempts:
    • During a flash retry the percentage counter counts quickly to the prior failed spot before continuing slowly past.
When restarting flash manager between flash attempts:
    • During a flash retry the percentage counter always counts slowly until it fails.

Are you all running flash manager as admin? (Right click, run as admin)

Also set FM as an exception in Defender or whatever AV program you have?
