God help him....not that Im religious, but LA sucks IMO. It has some cool shit, but man. At least they'll get nice weather...
I love Cali too, but SF has no nature other than golden gate park and the ocean. LA sucks too, but nothing is as densely populated as SF as far as cali goes....I like you tyler, but you are so young and you dont even know it. Reread all your posts 10 years from now, all 20k of them...and on that note Im crashing. Gonna get in the dirt tomorrow one last time before 2019.

This reminds me of a documentary I saw that really made me step back a second and think a bit. The Lottery of Birth. Boring for most, I'm sure. It was really freaking good

I think I said it before. But if animals had a religion we'd be the plague set upon them.

I think perspective is important, for someone who's entire life is the city it doesn't seem so bad. It becomes easier to overlook just how terrible the conditions are because you've become use to seeing them, it's commonplace and you know how to avoid it in many cases. I grew up near Seattle, it's beautiful but I don't wanna fucking get near it more than a couple times a year because like all major cities, it's just surface beauty. It has nice things but what city doesn't? There's so much nasty shit that happens because cities are inherently packed with humans. There's more inconvenience and nasty BS in a city than I want to deal with to be happy, after visiting less dense places and experiencing life away from a hub of other humans I never want to be near so many people again.

Lucky...hoping to do some wheeling on New Years day. Have to work on Monday

Might head back up to Big Bear since there's more snow...even though I finally got around to cleaning my engine bay this morning from last time and it took damn near 2 hours.

    Just 3 tons of fun!!!
Not even being harsh... But I can't honestly think of a single positive thing about SF. Heck, I can't honestly think of anything positive on anywhere west of the Altimont pass. I cringe every time I have to go west of Tracy for anything.

I just start looking at everyone and thinking you're the people who made my State suck so badly. I know there are cool people, like you over there. But I just have an overwhelming urge to punch everyone in the Bay Area in the face.

You kidding me!? There is so much nature around San Francisco. Marin Headlands, Redwood National Park, Point Reyes, Yosemite, Sonoma Coast, Mount Diablo... list goes on.

SF is a very tech gentrified city full of startups and things like that. The Bay Area is pointless to anyone unless you’re in a tech field.

Well it’s a city, of course there won’t be much nature in it. There are lots in the vicinity.

And the greatest NFL franchise! The 49ers! And Candlestick Park!
Are some of you all really that negative of people that you can't think of positive things in any place? Perspective man,

and there's nothing to do in the marin headlands or the redwoods really. Yosemite is worth checking out but like @Uphillshunter said it's so full of yuppie fucks you can't appreciate anything

If you're counting that as being around San Francisco then Los Angeles has you beat...San Gabriel Mountains, San Bernardino Forests, Idyllwild, Big Bear, eastern Sierras, Death Valley, Mojave, ...could go on and on and all those are within a few hours. Even Yosemite is only a 5 hour drive from here

The hipsters working on startups are just in between careers, they go from dressing like the homeless to being homeless when their poo tracking app becomes pay-to-use and each poo is $10 to unlock

I was born there, I am aware of these places and love em. I grew up at the base of mt diablo with miles of park land behind my fence. I used to love sf as well, but i was 19
