Damn our ford ambulances around here have the big tow points sticking out the front bumper like the superduty trucks and the rear you can just hook to the diff. There are a few that are based off those mercedes vans and they look like little matchbox toy ambulances. Some areas bought the giant K6500 and 7500 chevy 4x4 cab and chassis ones. Have no clue why they want something that big though.

    Morning yall!

Had a nice long talk with myself last night and decided I dont want a car payment with a new child on the way. I'm now gunna be in the market for a decent 1st gen 4 door or 4runner lol. Maybe in a few years I can get back into the 2nd gen world but I've gotta take care of family now.

If you guys know a lead on something I'm always open lol.

    Have a good day everyone!

My commute is very short and dont plan on that changing anytime soon. I'm very mechanically inclined and also have friends with shops close by that makes me more comfortable with buying older. Especially a toyota because of reliability. As far as loaning , I'm looking for no payment or as little as possible. There are a few deals near me but like you said its gotta be right.

Instead of a 300$ payment I would rather have none or much lower when my fiance stops working.

Then when we are ready trade her car in for a very safe and reliable family vehicle.

In the long run I think it's going to help allot if it works out, especially now I'm looking g to buy a home as well lol.

    Happy birthday @dan0mite !!!

Speaking of weather, it’s 31 here. Been up for a couple hours but it’s too cold to get out of bed. I should start breakfast soon.

Update (for anyone who cares): we got on scene around 2 am and the tow truck broke us free shortly after 5 am. They sent a flatbed out and he wrapped the line around the frame behind the bumper and pulled us out with no problem. The front bumper is bent down a little bit from the line getting tense, but no other damage. It baffles me why there are no recovery points on any of our trucks. I’m going to petition for a lifted, 6x6 for our budget next year. Oh, and I don’t plan to drive in the near future.

Very smart move my man! Look at little beaters as well that are cheap and can get you around town. I did those for a long time picking them up for 1000 or under drove for a yr or so and either sold or got rid of when they crapped the bed. May give you some time to squirrel away a little extra until the baby comes and can get you something a little nicer and safer.

Been there, done that. :( Mine went away after 12 days. It was probably the worst I’ve ever felt before. Hope you feel better soon.

That’s crazy, The new ambulances GHS Bought are 2018 F550’s. They’re super nice, Makes me wanna look and see if they have recovery points.

Had no idea but they just got these ambulances 6 months ago and I asked one of the guys how many miles they have and he said 71k! Said they average 10,500 a month! It’s in they shop for service/oil change every two weeks.
