Copy. What was wrong? Looks like he was making it hard on himself?

They were going up the pass with the trailers and broke an inner shaft. And as I understand it, the broken stubb somehow slid out of place into the carrier and destroyed everything. I dont know if you were able to see the trailers up close but one of them had its fenders removed to help with side clearance.

Great pics. Glad to see you're getting out there. I'll be wandering the area next week.

I saw the trailers but didn't see the damage. Those things must have weighed 3 or 4k! Maybe the owner should contemplate a duce and a half? ;)

Looks like these people didn't read all the markers. Maybe they don't read English.

They probably thought the showdown - oops, I meant shutdown, would keep them safe

Yeah we passed a Camery on the way out and there was a young couple - posing as professional hot springers that planned on taking their 1990's Accord through the north pass to get to springs with fewer rules. I wonder if they are now a trail ornament.

Already miss dv, saline valley I love it, regulars there, well, i could do without the conspiracy theory, anti vacine bs.

Sadly, I think that was my last trip for awhile gotta start exploring more locally, especially with the value of the cdn dollar now.

Looking forward to watching this thread for future updates!!

Screenshot_20181230-112431.jpg Curious to see if this Taco is someone from here that will post up a trip report. Personally I'd love the know the cost of spending a day/night there. It wouldn't be the first time I saw a Ranger doing their work out there.

Where was this? Dunes in saline valley? Or did they drive up to the eureka dunes? Either way not Kosher.

I ince cam down steele pass into saline valley and the turn off to the springs wasn’t well traveled. The wash tk the left had all the traffic on it. I presumed this was the rd. Wel i followed it all the way down and past the springs snede dup having to offroad through washes to het back to the springs. Felt like and idiot. I noticed this last trip they had markers where the turn was, guessing it happens a lot.

I can’t remember if it is posted to not camp there? I don’t remember seeing any signs.

It is elsewhere though, think at the signs for the springs.

That was my first trip there. Wasn’t using navi, i knew where the springs were as I could see the palms, just the road was not Indicated and I took the one that saw the most traffic which logic would say was the way through, turned out to be the wrong choice, every time i go now j chuckle as I know exactly where the turn is, they’ve actually out up reflectors and rock Cairns now to block it off.

QUOTE="dtaco06, post: 19484509, member: 22270"]Sounds like you need better nav. The roads are pretty clear on the maps I use. Haven't taken a wrong turn yet. We were camped at an intersection headed towards the springs back in November and had a 5th gen runner drive up and ask us if we knew where we were hahaha. He was trying to find the springs and wasn't sure which way he was going.[/QUOTE]

I didn't realize it when I took the picture but right in the picture you can see the Wilderness stake. I just hope when I don't see a sign, I don't get fined.
