Well, it sounds like everything is under control. I assume everyone knows where they're going? A couple of you are leaving tomorrow morning, travel safe. If anyone needs anything or has any questions, pm or call me.

I know how to get to Farmingtom, hopefully Drew know the rest. I'll try to find the meeting spot sometime tonight when I get things done, prolly not until real late. I am about to head to walmart to get the rest of the shopping list. Then back home pack everything, and load the truck. I really should have done somethif lastnight, besides sit on my butt.

On the map, Farmington is an almond shape kind of like an eye. The bottom line of the almond shape is Main St. The top line of the almond shape is Pinon Hills Blvd. Glade Rd. is off Pinon Hills Blvd. It's about a mile northeast of the Pinon Hills Blvd./30th St. intersection. There is a low canyon with a sandy wash running through it. A small bridge allows the sandy wash to continue under Pinon Hills Blvd to the south side. The dirt lot where we are meeting in is on the north side of the road. Even though it's a dirt road, it's big enough that Pinon Hills Blvd. even has a turn lane going into it.

Got my sliders done... Well, not done, but functional... No finish grinding or paint... Also, wanted to fab a couple more mounts/braces, but just ran out of time... Hopefully, they will do...

So, any word on campfires? I'm packing tomorrow and heading out around noon-ish. Don't want to haul a bunch of firewood if we can't use it.

I'll check this thread a couple times before I leave.

All packed up, well the best I could do at midnight. I'll be heading out around 7am. I couldn't figure out what to do with my gas cans, so I may or may not bring them along this trip. I have them strapped in, but they aren't in very well.

Anyway, I better get some sleep. See you guys.

Nope. I cant take it back out of the truck w/o taking out my whole center console. Oh well. I think I found another place that can do it in the car. So we will try that.

Be a man and eat 'em raw :D. Or stick them on your manifold :p.

I have a shit ton of crap to do this afternoon/tonight. Prep food, configure loadout, ice, water, fuel, slap some new brake pads on cause mine are shot. hope the discs are still ok. check fluids, tires, re-torque everything that I touched for the suspension install. Damn this list keeps growing everytime I think about it:eek:!!

I have a decent sized grill if somebody wants to bring an extra coleman gas can. 1 of the extra camping screw on types. And we can just cook all the burgers on mine.

As far as I know, campfires are fine. If you don't bring any, we can all just chip in a few bucks and get a few bundles from the store in Silverton.

Brian texted me this morning about forgetting the grill. I also have a small charcoal grill I'll throw in the truck.

Can't get texts at my house, no cell coverage...

I'll probably just look for a place after I get through Pagosa Springs... No real schedule or destination...

I'd appreciate any recommendations. I usually like primitive, remote, no cost camping, and I'll have my two dogs... Maybe near water?

    Thanks,

    ~Troy

On Hwy 160, between 20 and 23 miles west of Pagosa, there are 3 roads that head north and into the woods. They are Forest Road 626 (20 miles west), First Fork Road/County Road 166/FR 622 (23 miles west), and First Notch Road (23 miles west). You shouldn't have trouble finding primitive sites in any of those. There is even some wheeling trails back off those roads if you get there early.

Lower Piedra campground is a few miles past the 151 turnoff near Chimney Rock.

These will all put you 1.5 hours away from here.

haha ya it effin sucks, i went inside and i asked them to tune it and he was like you gotta bring it up. i was like fuck i have it all wired and everything but i decided that it would take 2 sec to get it outta the truck.

so im a RA-Tard and i have the wires goin through a hole in the fire wall then connected to the battery, so i didnt disconnect the power cord to the battery and i tried to cut the cord well i guess the + & - touched and made a crazy spark on the battery i freaked out haha.

long story short i got it tuned and i just put the wires back together with quick connects and taped them
