I’m wanting a hard cover. Will probably put a bed rug in as well.

Contacted Tyger on a tri-fold soft for my 2019. They said get back to them in January for a cover that would fit a 2019. Apparently or maybe the bed is different size. Anyone know if the bed size changed for the 2019? Maybe they just hadn't checked yet and updated their year to sizes.

I have a soft fold now, but I’m thinking about switching to a backflip. Have you used it with it all the way folded against the cab? If so, is it solid when folded up?

I am very happy with my tonneau cover. It is Lund Genesis Elite model, trifold soft cover. It's been on my 2017 AC Tacoma for about 10 months. Zero leaks. The "Elite" model uses a premium cover material manufactured by the Harrtz Co., which produces materials for OEM convertible tops. The Elite material has a woven appearance like you would see on a convertible top on a luxury car. Lund also makes a regular Genesis trifold, which uses a vinyl material, and is less expensive.

Many detailed YouTube videos on the product and its installation. It went on fairly easy. Also, simple to remove and reinstall. It attaches to the OEM rails in the bed utilizing a clamp system. The rails and tie-downs can still be used. No need to drill or otherwise modify the truck.

I am sure there are other good products out there. Lund is the only one I have direct experience with.

I bought this one last month at Costco on sale. I really like it so far. Fits decent, no leaks, looks good.

That looks like my rugged cover that came with my truck. I wonder if some of these covers are all made at the same place and rebadged according to whoever is selling. Even where yours says trident mine says rugged cover. Do you have lights on yours? The outer coating looks identical as well

Edit: mine is great for what it is. Relatively waterproof and keeps peering eyes out of my bed. Oh yeah and the occasional water bottle from the ass at the wal-mart parking lot

I noticed that some of these looked almost identical. I think the Extang 2.0 might be the same as well. No lights on mine...

Bought the gator soft tie-fold fro eBay for $220 and have been pleased with it so far. If I had to do a hard tonneau, I’d recommend Bakflip. My buddy has one on his taco and it’s low profile with no leaking into the bed.

I would rather they throw it in my truck bed than on the ground.

I have the BakFlip F1 (same as MX4 but in fiberglass so it won't dent as easily). It's not the cheapest option out there, but good quality. Picked it up on a group buy several months back. You just missed some good holiday sales. :/
