It's less Tacoma and more mod
GL5 is way more slippery on a molecular level, it just causes the syncros to not do their job as well since they're supposed to bring things up and down in speed by way of friction. Sometimes it works just fine, these trans can run it, but sometimes you'll find it's a pain to get in gear. I wouldn't use it on a worn trans, but a newer or rebuilt one is probably fine.

A bunch of the same stuff everybody else has already done.
Always thought the safari bar was the best looking and most practical if all you need are fog lights. Mounts 'em low where they should be. Looks good bud. I'm considering the Randy Ellis sleekster bar for mine which mounts the lights just above the bumper since I'm going to go with some spread beam KCs

I have a rear setup decision to make. My stock leafs have horrible wrap. I’ve done a cheap tenporary Fox with a clamp which helps but isn’t a real solution.

One direction I’m thinking of going is Speed Freeks traction bars and small blocks. But I’m not convinced this is really the best solution when I want the best ride unloaded possible. By back end likes to hop around on bumpy roads and I need more control.

I have a set of J59s but my problem is I really don’t want any more than 1” of lift. The reason I picked them up is as far as I’m aware they ride the best unloaded.

I’m thinking the best option would to get a custom pack made. But I don’t have the funds at all.

Has anyone ever removed a leaf from the J59 to let us drop a little more?

Replaced my carpet today! Finally got rid of the old nasty carpet soiled by my shoes after many baseball games and my dogs muddy adventures. It was fun. Also, my fingers hurt.

Had exact same thought. How tempting especially since I'll be sound deadening anyway

I was watching in Infamous Doug Demuro YouTube channel and he was checking out the Nissan Skyline interior and he wouldn’t stop talking about the Center Console and how it had a Dedicated Pen Holder under the Lid of the Console. So I decided to Install a Pen Holder on Mine !

    Parts used:
    1. Home Depot universal Clear Holder Tabs
    2. Fiber Fix Crazy Glue

Measured the tread depth on my KO2s today. 6/32's after 41,151 miles. Pretty good wear life and it's been very even so far.
My housemate's KO2's on his Subaru got super noisy after his 1st year of having them, but mine are 4 years old and not any noisier than the day I put them on - in fact they are a tiny bit quieter because the tread depth reduced the octopus sound from the deep sipes.

Did you order it with the mass backing added? If so what did you think?

Ha! I was just about to say something about this. I did not order it with the massbacking. In hindsight, I wish I did. I think the carpet should be alright without it but I like the little added insurance. Kinda kicking myself tbh.

Appreciate the honest input. I think I will order it with the mass added. Anything to help with killing road noise in that thing can't be bad
