    Out with the old and in with the new...

    Driver's side one is still okay so I'm not going to mess with it...since that one is JB welded on, don't feel like fighting with that today. The passenger side one was the only one that split so far.

    All my rigs have had about 2.5-3" in the front with a diff drop. Only busted one CV. Made lots of them leak oil though.

    I've had good luck, I blew out my 20 year old CV boots when I lifted but I've never torn another since replacing the dry rotted rubber. I've blown up CVs but that's a different problem.

    Same, it's kind of expected for that old of a CV to kick the bucket in my opinion. Part of lifting a high mileage rig is putting new cvs in it.

    Yup, I got in on the first batch that he produced, 6 months later the passenger side one had split apart. I hit him up and he was cool about it, told me the first batch's compound wasn't up to par and that he had since reformulated it...he sent me a new set within a few days.

    What Zane said...my wheels are painted black so when they chip it shows pretty good, just a part of the game. I repaint them every 6 months or so
