Oooh haha, I was googling 'inner torque bar' and couldn't figure out what you meant lol.

I put the lug wrench on them afterward and it feels almost the same, I can't turn them any more with it unless I put my weight into it which I never did before, so I think I was pretty close.

You need to be good at jigging to get a bass in cold water. I cant run jigs, so I dont fish in cold weather. Crappie may be biting right now tho. A little yum! grub on a small jighead reeled in pretty quick gets them every time in NC waters.

Awww, beginning in just two days it will be illegal to run without a muffler in California, even for SMOG exempt vehicles. So now they are regulating after the CATs too.

They passing some new law or something? As far as I remember CA law states we've always had to run mufflers even for smog exempt. Also a law stating exhaust can't be modified to increase noise. I had 17 exhaust tickets on my last car. Lol

Yeah, seems as if they're making it unlawful to modify exhaust in any way that may increase its sound output

My first like 5 exhaust tickets were correctable, put my stock back on, get signed off by CHP, pay $10 court processing fee. After that the rest were fines, not "corrrectable". They didn't even ask for verification of fixing it most times. Pay the fine & that was it. Fine kept getting higher for every one that I got.

Weird shit man, freedom is pretty cool. Surprising they have the time to deal with such minor things when a sizable portion of the population is shitting on sidewalks. Everytime I drive through I make sure whatever it is that I'm driving is singing the song of my people. Especially the cruiser which if you aren't in it is deafening.

    Lol, shitting on sidewalks.

Unfortunately it really depends on your vehicle & how you look. I drove a slammed Integra that was primered black & loud as hell. Plus being asian with a shaved head I sort of looked like a troublemaker. I used to get sweated often & pulled over for all kinds of stupid things, many times I wouldn't even get ticketed for violations on my car, it depends on the cop. Some officers are cool, some are dicks.

Times have changed though, cops don't bother to look at what is modified in detail anymore. They just ask you to pop the hood, if they se even an after market air filter (carb approved or not) they'll give you a ref ticket. My friends roommate even got a ref ticket for having an exhaust system.

In my truck, cops don't even look at me. Vehicles modified for offroad never get sweated here.

That's so strange to me, I've never once had the police ask me to do anything besides produce my license, registration, and insurance. Never pop a hood, never look under the chassis, two of them pointed out that I'm missing my plate in the front which I happily pulled from the back seat and showed them it fell off (it's dented hardcore so it looks like it took a ride haha). I cannot imagine a cop in AZ, WA, OR, ID, UT, MT, or WY ever asking to inspect my vehicle for anything other than what is plainly visible. UT and MT like to get you for mudflaps, but it is an easy ticket to avoid after the fact. But I bet having a primered tuner doesn't help, the cruiser is soccer mom status, I could blow by a cop doing 120 and they'd think it was the dude behind me it is so low profile. When you look at it, you can't believe the sound that comes out. The taco looks like it might cause mischief I guess, and the Z I dunno (it's sort of a classic now).

On another note I forgot to do it before I left but I can send those dimensions for that part on the 1st.

Last time I was up in Big Bear, one of the guys in our group told us that he's been pulled over up there numerous times for not having covers on his lights, got ticketed for it once. I hear of that happening out here but haven't had it happen to me yet (knock on wood)...the Cree eBay lights I got for my roof rack didn't come with covers and as far as I can tell, they don't make them. I could probably buy some Hella covers for them but those fuckers are pricey if you just buy the covers. Figure I'll just roll without them until I get told to put some on.

There's some nylon covers that velcro on now that I see guys running. Seem fairly generic fit wise

I will be needing to do my timing belt here in the not so distant future, and one of my best friends lives in Idaho (moved his father's gun business up there to Coeur d'Alene a few years ago) and he's been bugging me to come up and visit for a long time

Back then is when the import tuner scene became big. Everyone around here had one & everyone I knew was a street racer. They say here is where much of it started. It was a big problem here back then. If your car looked modifed cops would sweat you. If you had a muscle car, weren't young, & weren't at the street races, you'd get the pass.
