Well I finally ordered one. Kept telling myself to wait until a coupon was available on eBay, but finally decided to just go for it. Now to go sell some stuff to try to recoup some funds I've spent on this dang truck :annoyed:

I’m in Canada but was able to ship to a Washington address and then used a courier company to get it over the border

Can I see some more pics of that bed rack? Picking up a camper shell Saturday and thinking of making something similar for my truck.

Snorkel came yesterday. If tracking was correct it was returned to Malayasia on the 26th then travelled 9,700 +/- miles in 2 days to make it to North Carolina.

Anyway, as mentioned by others I’m very surprised by the quality of it. For the price I’d expect thin plastic and shoddy craftsmanship. Poor molds and what not, your typical knock off shit. If I would’ve paid $400+ and this showed up with an ARB Safari label I would’ve been none the wiser.

I was rather ticked they raised the price! The day mine shipped eBay had a 15% off code so that was just salt in the wound lol

Finally got it installed today. The top screw holding it to the fender is a huge pita to get the nut started. Then thighting it is an even bigger bitch. My nuckles were busted up by the end. Watching wrenches are a must for this job. Also trying to get the rivet gun/rivet into that holes on the a pillar bracket is kinda hard. Maybe you guys have smaller rivet guns but mine too large. But it's on and very secure. Still cant belive the quality of the snorkel. Pic will be uploaded as soon I remember to take them. It was dark when I finished.

I have the opposite problem, my HF rivet gun is maybe on the small side, those rivets were nearly impossible- in fact the bottom one kind-of went on 100%? Its not super tight, mid one broke off, I had to cut it, top one snapped but I was able to pull it off and use a spare rivet (same size but easier, so probably lower quality). Overall the bracket is not on very tightly, the tension of the snorkel makes it feel light, but it is not. I want to drill them out and do it again with a bigger beefier gun. This is where hindsight would have gone with pilot holes and some nice SS self tapping screws.

If I ever have to take it off and redo it, I'm using rivet nuts.

yeah I used the Harbor Freight rivet gun as well, the ~$5 one (maybe less)...was barely big enough to squeeze off those rivets, I had to use all my strength with both hands but eventually got them all on

Pretty sure I got that same gun. Just gave it the death grip and they popped right off. I was really worried about accidentally smacking the windshield and cracking it when it finally popped.

I've got girly strength, time to hit the gym again haha. I will need to redo for sure, its going to be a moisture problem, and I went through the trouble of cutting out gasket material to sandwich between the pieces. I saw a cordless drill add-on that does rivets, very tempted to get it because why not.
