Looking for advice on a purchase:

2019 TRD OR Double cab, 5 foot bed, auto, 4WD, White. Technology package (no leather, no tonneau, no moon roof which I prefer). Dealer agreed to convert chrome badging and exhaust tip to black. Dealer offered $35,500 plus TTF. 499 dealer doc fee. 2.9% 60 month financed.

Truck had 280 miles on it, which I assume is from test drives, dealer trade or somebody that works there driving it around.

I'd tell them to take another $500-1000 off with that mileage, but close to my deal, except I went with premium package as well.

That's pretty much what I've got (+ tint, door sills and guards, mud flaps, and carpeted floor mats) and paid $35,430. With that kind of mileage, they should knock off another $500-$1000 as stated above.

Any of you guys know for sure what the best rates are from Toyota on the 2019's? Trying to decide if I should let the dealer run my credit or just go straight through USAA for 3.08% (best listed rate I've seen). I saw the guy above said he got 2.9, but I can't find that advertised anywhere.

Go to the link below and put in your zip. Toyotathon promotions are based on region. This will tell you the promo's in your area. But it ends Jan. 2nd.

Did that, but the only thing that comes up is the $1,000 rebate.

So it looks like that's all they are offering in your region. You could also call your local dealer and ask.

That's what I was thinking. Not much difference in payment between 2.9 and 3.08 though so not a big deal really.

That's assuming they offer you 2.9
Every dealer I talked to and went to, even the one I bought from all said 4.9 or 5.7 even though I have top tier credit rating.
It wasn't till I said I'd go to my CU for 3.9% then they magically matched that rate.
Rates differ depending on length of loan. My CU had 1.9 for 48 months, 2.9 for 60 and 3.9 for 72.

The Fed has also been raising rates this year. If someone got 2.9% in June, you bet it'll be higher now.

And in my region it was 2.9% for 60 mo. OR $500 cashback.

And after thinking I got a decent deal on my purchase, I see the dealership has my trade-in at $7,000 more than what they gave me (and I got KB trade-in value). Even if they get half of that, they'll still make $3500. But hey, they had to wash it. They even took off my shell & probably made $$ on that too.

It's funny (or sad), how your undesirable trade-in turd (per the dealership) turns into a cash cow once they own it.

Oh well, I knew what I was getting into. But it just reiterates that you need to do your research before buying your new Truck.

Yeah that’s what I’m figuring will happen here. I’d rather just have USAA run my credit once than have the dealer run it and give me some ridiculous rate like 4.9.

Wow, those are awesome prices. I'd personally go with 2019, but either one is a win, IMO.

The 2018 sold - I'm going to go with the 2019. Still feel like I can grind a little more off.

Just got a quote for a 2019 DCSB Off Road MT in calvary blue with pretty much everything that could have been added, including blacked out emblems, exhaust tip, roof rack, tech and premium package for $38,483 before TTL pretty much without asking for anything. Going to go see it tomorrow. Good deal?
