    Just 3 tons of fun!!!
I don't keep track of gas milage that closely. I haven't seen a noticable change in milage though. Still have to fill up the same amount of times during the week driving to work as I did 14 years ago when I bought the truck.

It did seem to make a bit of an increase in milage when I replaced the timing belt/water pump/etc at about 255k. It definitely runs smoother than it did prior to doing them.

Change the oil, and don't do anything stupid and the 3.4 will EASILY get you to 300k.

This is the only vehicle I have ever owned that went +200k. I have absolutely zero plans to replace it. And I trust it more than any other vehicle I've owned even with half the miles. I would (and do regularly) load this truck up with gear and drive it anywhere you want to go.

You'd think mine had less miles on it the way it runs and drives. Original motor as far as I can tell. I am going to need to do valve cover gaskets on it sometime soon, the valve covers are slightly wet around the edges. Not dripping oil on the exhaust tho so they will go a little longer until I'm ready to tear into it.

I've done 2 860+ mile round trips and one 600+ mile round trip in the 2 months that I've owned the truck and have put almost 3500 miles total on since buying it. Engine runs great and I'm getting a consistent 16mpg average between city and freeway driving. Doesn't burn any oil either.

One extra you might consider is also replacing the rubber gasket in the oil fill cap. Mine was leaking oil because the rubber was worn and hardened. Replaced it for about $1.50.

We are totally thinking along the same wave length... Cause I just ordered this. Found it on eBay for $13.50.
