Just picked up a 2017 TRD Off Road last week and I am looking for a quality shop that can install a lift. I would do it myself but I have no time and a bad back. Looking at getting an OME kit with Dakars and TC UCA's. Not sure what a normal price would be for that kind of work. My goal is to get some 285/70/17's on there as well. I am in Nashville.

 

Is that how you plan on carrying the new tent?

 

For the moment, I'll just set it on top and throw a strap around it. Nice new tent on an old beat up, mismatched truck and camper top.
I've got primer, paint, clear coat, and some new hardware. Also getting some aluminum extrusion and plate and making a rack the shell and to replace the old 4runner rack I destroyed. (Forgot I had installed a thule basket and pulled into a garage that was too short)
Maybe @andrewtheadventurer will make me one like his as a late Christmas present. He forgot to get me one.
Also just installed a snorkel, does that offically make me one of those gay overlanders now, @allmotorrex?

I understand now what you mean by if it rained or raining dont go. Went today, and couldn't even get up one of the first hills. I mean I didnt really try, just left it in 4 lo, but didnt want to risk damaging her with all the sliding I was doing in the easier parts.

 

Does anyone know who had experience regearing 3rd member is it Levi,Everet or Gid ?

I just swapped cores with ECGS, no setup involved. Would reccomend that way.

was planning on buying a 3rd member from the Boneyard and rebuild that one so I have a Locker, ecgs olny does even swap

 

They will put any locker and gears you want in it. You buy the setup you want and they will require a core charge (not sure on price) they send you the third, you swap it out then send your old one back and the refund you the core charge. Plus a warranty

Id be cautious of that OV tune. Those seem to be hit or miss sometimes. Oil catch can isnt necessary (but no the bad either; I dont run one at this current time). The flexpod is from Cravenspeed (or something like that), not URD. the 340 stealth pump is overkill unless you are looking to mod the s/c to over 400 hp (which would then require different injectors, internal components and others I'm sure I dont even know about haha). I also dont see an inline fuel filter which comes with the URD fuel pump kit (I have the Walbro 255 kit packaged by URD)

 

Haven’t tried the Ov tune. It’s brand new. There’s a giant thread on them.
The flexpod was ordered from URD.
I substituted the stealth pump for the walbro In URD’s package.

 

Yea, the ov tune has had some hard times with some people. Idk the whole back story but the creator/tuner whatever you want to call him seemed to have left some open promises and months later still failed to follow through, leaving people waiting on a tune hanging. I’m not gonna throw myself into the mix since I truly don’t know the 5 W’s but I live in the TRD/Magnuson S/C thread where others have discussed it at length.

I personally run the UCON EMS and love it.

Also, I hope I didn’t come across as attacking your post! I do think it’s a little over priced BUT some people may pay extra for the TRD stamp since they are no longer being made (the magnuson stamped one is like 4500 without the tune). And I guess you purchased the gauges from another member in that S/C thread, or at least that’s what it sounded like.

I have quite a few friends from TN on here from years ago and wouldn’t want them getting duped (not to say you’re duping them in any way!) I just wouldn’t pay that much for a used S/C.

 

Yeah, some people prefer TRD sc.
Plus, I’ve packaged other stuff with it and the price is OBO.
