Hiked Fern Canyon today, same place a scene from Jurassic Park 2 was filmed. Where the dude is walking along the creek and all the little tiny Dinos peck his flesh off.

    Didnt see any of those

So I know it was talked about in another thread, but what field are you looking into for work still looking at LEO?

    Just 3 tons of fun!!!
Started dinking with some stuff today.

I love watching paint dry </sarcasm>

Started getting bored... Decided my camp axe was looking pretty rough.
A coat of Por15 shines it up nicely. I'll re-grind the edge when the paint dries.

The brake splash shields are ugly. Thinking about freshening them up. (Because the Por15 is taking too long to dry and I'm searching for something to do)

Thinking of doing something different and painting them silver. Anyone want to talk me out of this?

You should consider a high gloss for the purpose of shedding unwanted debris, ie mud. They come from the factory with a high gloss finish for that purpose as well as wind turbulent diffusion properties. Those things not only deflect crap away from your brake rotors but they also act a heat deflector inso much as helping radiate the heat away from your rotors and keeping things cool and functional.

Met @duncnasty this evening. Cool guy! Nice truck. I think he'll fit in with us 209ers great.

Looks like he'll be moved up to Turlock area mid-January.

If I have time after work, I'm going to swing by Modesto Muffler to ask about a reroute so I can finally got my other skid plates installed. Is there anything specific I need to ask them for? I plan on bringing the mid skid so I can show what the pipes have to clear, and a pic from one of the threads on here.

Bring that rear skid, also snap some screenshots of other guys' reroute jobs from the forums to use as examples (adding heat shields near the transfer case, ect)
