I'm in over my head? YOU displayed a severe lack of intellect by NOT being able to conduct a simple bit of old school research. I am almost 60, but I can easily navigate the finer points/requirements of the interwebs. I say you remain in the railroad business. Pretty sure I know MORE about efficiency than you, as a retired Air Traffic Controller. Try threading three 747's, and a military fighter into a single runway operation at night while juggling two in-flight emergencies and a police helo that just broke your controlled airspace at the approach end of the active sometime. The only irony here is your ignorance in the face of some constructive criticism.

My advice to you: Read more, Post less.

In one word, 1.05 is awesome.

It’s so sad that with millions in R&D money, Toyota couldn’t or wouldn’t do the Tacoma justice with a decent OEM tune. Meanwhile, Mat was able to rebuild our ECUs from scratch w/o the source code and give us the Tacoma we thought we were buying. I hope he reaps huge profits.

    It’s call free enterprise.
    It’s called capitalism.
    It’s called ‘Murica.

WITH THE CAT DELETED WILL IT STILL PASS DEQ? WORKING LIKE A FIEND SO I DON'T HAVE TIME TO INSTALL 1.05, MAYBE TONIGHT IF I GET OFF WORK AT A REASONABLE TIME! SO FAR REVIEWS ON 1.05 ARE EXCELLENT, CAN'T WAIT TO GET MY TUNE ON!!!

I have no clue, I wasn't concerned since we don't have emissions testing here.

I know this has been asked many times throughout the forums, but for 1.05 specifically, is it worth getting on a Manual? If I had an automatic, I wouldn't even question it, as I hated my auto and this sounds like it fixed everything I hated. But with a Manual, I'm on the fence, especially at $770 for throttle response change, which without anyone local that has it for me to see the difference vs stock. :/

I'd have quit after the first, definitely the second! For what some people spend on weddings these days, I could have a hell of a truck (or 3) :mudding:

My best guess is it would fail on stock tune so it would fail on ovtune too.

Unsure how you'd expect it to pass.

I sure think so. There's enough wonkiness in the motor it makes a huge difference even on the manual

I would say absolutely,it is a totally different truck with the tune since day one on the first version of the M/T tune and it has improved with each revision. I am on the edge of my seat for 1.05 to drop for us M/T guys. F5,F5,F5.....lol
