I might be going with @plamore, not sure what time yet but we were shooting for late morning. We are both noobs to that trail...

Edit: speaking of being rookies, does anyone have suggestions for the route up/down?

your truck will be fine, you have sliders right? I did it without sliders or skids with the same suspension and tires that you have

This is the fun way. Slightly challenging without a rear locker but easily doable.

This way is a basic fire road

Thanks! So a potential route would be to go up via Union Springs road and maybe exit back down via the basic fire road to route 33?

It's been raining though, so I'll just give you some advice and watch your speed. Last time me and few other guys went it was pretty deep in spots

If it's your first time you are going to want to check out reddish knob as well.

Go up union springs and down this route.

Weather is calling for 40 - 50mph wind
I wouldn't go without a good chain saw and recovery gear that can move trees.

Winds will be unfavorable...was thinking about flagpole, but trees may be down. Open to suggestions otherwise.

Thanks for the heads up. We have a decent chain saw but not the type of recovery gear to move trees around. Might take a pass this time...

I got work on the 2nd. Otherwise I'd say I'm interested. I gotta meet up with Randall to give him his Christmas present. And possibly steal his intake parts to finish this:
