Just reading through this thread and had to ask..you would never let brushes touch your truck but a chemical bath is not a problem? First you'll notice your plastics getting hazy like your turn signals, breaklights, lightbar lenses and headlight covers. Then you'll start to notice the paint on the windshield wipers and anything else that doesnt have a clear coat like aftermarket bumpers, slider and lightbars looking dull. These chemicals will also creep into your door jams and eventually damage the door seals. I could go on and on about how bad these "touchless car washes are on your vehicle but I digress. I just hate to see perfectly good trucks get basically what amount to chemical warfare on the exterior.

You know what would be great? If anyone with a cement taco that upgraded their bumper, sold me their old color matched bumper caps!!!!

Wondering why so many rear bumpers do not support BSM?

BSM doesn’t function through metal. It would require some “funky” design work to incorporate plastic into the bumper, and it probably wouldn’t look aesthetically pleasing.

Yep, you can see how it hangs even lower than the oem bumper. I'm still debating on replacing mine with a high clearance since I'd lose both my BSM and blind spot monitor and would have to do a rear view camera relocation.

BSM and blind spot monitor are the same thing. Are you talking about the back up sensors?

Sorry, I meant back up sensors. I know some allow you to retain the back up sensors, but I could care less about them since we have the back up cam. The BSM comes in handy since I have a soft topper.

As silly as it may sound, the little bubble blind spot mirrors are a game changer. I have a cap with solid sides so I have a horrible blind spot. With those mirrors I’ve never had an issue. No need to turn your head with them.

Yeah my soft topper doesn't have windows either so I have to do the head tilt to see out the way, but really the cross-traffic thing is nice when backing out and there's a bicyclist or a car going by. I dunno, Maybe I can turn both off for a while and see how it goes to see if I'll miss it or not. You never miss something until you've had it for a while.

I hear yah. I’ve got bsm on my Subaru and it’s freaking nice. It’s handier than people without it may realize. Especially the cross traffic alert.

    Nice Post! Thanks man.

Relentless High Clearance for The Win on clean and protective.44

This is the one I'm going to go with once I sell my rear bumper, tow package and sensors. Super clean but awesome protection. Not to mention looks badass on Quicksand

A while ago I've seen people replacing 3rd Gen mirrors with Rav4 ones. Apparently Rav4 mirrors are the same size and they come with build in convex corners. Yes, more expensive than $2-3 stick-ons, but might look like they are meant to be there. Unfortunately they will not replace cross traffic alert....

Now that I finally decided on getting a bumper, I might have to look into those mirrors
