Smart man, I need to get me some of those

Glad I asked because I wouldve set the torque wrench to 85 ftlbs or so...felt like those bolts were on there a lot harder than 27 ftlbs but they we're probably just stuck a bit from never being removed before.

Got my little carrier bearing spacers installed...didn't really have any issues but back when I was getting some bad clunks I thought this might be what was needed. Installed them anyway for good measure.

They were being sold on Wheelers for 2nd gens but they fit our trucks too, same size bolt and hole anyway. Pretty simple just little rectangular 1/2" metal spacers

Did you do the weird torque procedure for the carrier bearing but?

No...should I? I didn't touch the carrier bearing really, just took the 2 bolts off (one on each side) one at a time and slid the spacer on.

Be prepared to get fed up and rip your leafs out again to install shims.

The popping went away awhile ago, don't have any issues with my leafs currently *knock on wood*...turned out to be those clamps on each leaf pack were too tight and needed loosened.

My driveline clunk/vibe only happened at 45 mph in 4th or 5th gear after lifting 2". New bearing did nothing, 3 degree shims solved it. Sounded like I was driving on a rumble strip, could feel it in the floor near the tranny tunnel.

Yikes that sounds bad...dunno how I avoided that one with virtually the same lift but I haven't had anything like that happen.

Oh I thought you replaced the bearing. Unless you took the main nut off, don't worry about it.

It was weird. Some trucks get vibes with a tiny lift, others are fine with 3" plus. I certainly wasnt expecting any with a simple add a leaf.
