What have you done to your Tacoma today? 1st Gen Edition

Hahaha I thought that was just my experience. You go above and beyond with a coined phrase.

 

I dunno what you guys are talking about but I’ve loved my Dick Cepek Extreme Country 255/85/16’s, loud asf and heavy but they’ve done great in everything I’ve put em through.

 

Definitely want to try something different the KO2. Leaning toward falken or coopers

 

Probably because they are skinnies. I think my next set will be 255/85s

edit: not sure I want cepeks tho.

 

Probably, I don’t do stuff like you guys though either. Different standards

 

Only reason I got em was because they were on sale, 500$ for 4

 

For me its all about how the tire performs.

 

St Maxx are priceyyyyy $300 a tire!! But that’s the tire I’m most interested in. Also looking at the Wild peaks

 

Theyve preformed great so

 

I really enjoyed my Maxxs too, only had 31’s though but they were studded.

 

I definitely won’t have them studded. Snow is about 2 1/2 hours away from me. Although I’ve been driving in it all weekend and studded tires would have been great lol

 

Welll, May have ran em year round but we don’t need to talk about it.

 

Got the wildpeaks on my wife's 4runner. Had em for about 10,000 miles so far. So far so good, I might buy them for mine when I'm due. Might be a while though the ko2s I have still have alot of life. Ko2s are better in the ice and snow then the wildpeaks but the price tag is so inviting on the Falkens

 

My KO2s are going on my gfs tacoma. They have about 23k on them. I’m leaning hard toward the cooper st Maxxs. With the new gears I’m anxious for a bigger tire. My KO2s are on a second gen sport wheel and she has a second gen so I’m gonna take her pro comp 69 wheels. Not sure if I’ll need spacers still. But I for see a .75” spacer

 

My wheels are the procomp knockoffs from discount tire. I've got 275/70/17 and I rub on the frame a little bit when flexed and turning. Might as well go 1.25" spidertrax if your gonna go .75". I've kicked around the idea of spacers but rock chips are a bugger. Especially with ko2s

 

I currently have 1.25” on the truck with the second gen wheels. I’ll probably just keep them on. My plan is 285/75/17s

 

Thats going to look sweet. Going to be a fatty. If you end up selling the 1.25 let me know. The wife needs a set for hers. She's on one of the newer taco wheels I think.

 

Definitely will let you know. After fitting them I’ll see what I need.
