If you guys are looking for a fantastic storage sytem i’d suggest the frontrunner wolfpack system for pickuos. And yes it does fit the tacoma, don’t listen to their q/a section. I have one in my truck with their water system and its fantastic.

All my kit I had in the decked and then some fits in the 6 wolfpacks, water tank and i have an extra foot of useable space at the back which i will mount my electrical in and use as a secure storage system. I just need to make a plywood template to cover everything so i have a solid floor! Absolutely love this system.

I gotta get over there to look at these. These would work out well to swap the different gear I carry between work and play.

Nope, as much as I like the slide option it doesnt leave you with a useable bed.

    https://www.frontrunneroutfitters.c...r-single-height-double-width-1252mm-long.html

Thats the one. They also fit short bed perfectly. Replace the top layer of plywood with extended oieces and voila kick ass storage, organized, and very well built. More useable space then the decked.

Throw on the optional water tank on the back and in the dclb you still have an extra food of room to store bulky/long items.

    Really great system.

You can get these at Basspro in Rancho Cucamonga. And if you watch their sales you can score it for around 20.00 if you wait. They have every size.

I've been thinking about doing some kind of bed storage. Lots of great ideas in this thread.

I've realized with two carseats in the backseat, there really is no space for anything else in the back seats. I end up putting my work laptop bag in the bed so the kids don't crush my computer. Obviously not ideal. But gotta do what you gotta do.

I have a softopper so mounting a storage to the cab side of the truck isn't ideal. Has anyone mounted an inexpensive storage bin closer to the tailgate? I would use it more so whatever I throw in the bed doesn't slide everywhere. Dont have to worry about rain in AZ even less with a topper. I don't have a bed mat, keeping a close watch on craigslist for a good deal. I would also use it for storing grocer..........I mean BEER! Lots of beer. :benchpress:

What do you use? How did you mount it? Thanks!

I just kept it simple with this one. It locks and is just enough for tools and some longer items I don’t want in the cab.

I found these at Home Da Pot. A good height so not a lot of wasted space and the cover still closes easily. Enough room I’m not worried about a bed mat making them too tall either. Probably going to pick up a few more for camping gear come spring. 9 bucks each if you’re looking.

Watch your paint hanging the trasharoo off the tailgate. It’ll where the clearcoat paint off especially if you’re in death Valley on a dusty trail

I will figure something out for that Probably get a vinyl overlay on the tailgate or move the trasharro to the bed rack when I get it. I need to mount a spare tire on my trailer then Ill put it on the trailer instead.

Don’t leave the trasharoo sitting in the sun either for long periods of time I’ve had them disintegrate in months.

    Kbvoodoo bed box

Love the box. A little awkward, but, its utility, and ability to slide back to front, etc, it great. I have it pulled most of the way back. I stand on the damn thing all the time. Enough that I am considering having the top painted with something for traction(herc, bedliner, etc).

Just added a plastic storage drawer to mine, in addition to the foot locker.

I picked up a rubbermaid action packer 24 gallon bin
Strapped in with 2 bungee cords lockable if needed. Fits all my camping gear but it's small backpacking gear not big basecamp type stuff. Does the job nicely I'm sure there's a cheaper option though. I'll prob pick up another bin as my truck camping gear expands over backpacking gear. 20181208_094904.jpg 56892310-e744-40ab-8a67-506546fe7869_1.faf944f914b859be7d4e3eb007c522f9.jpg
