    FWIW: The weather has put a bit of a damper on my flippac mod plans... :(
    Working with a company in NY for a replacement tent upgrade and also never heard back from Birddawg industries on the support bar upgrade they produced a few years ago...

    Hey guys, need some help. Can anyone confirm that this Flippac from a first gen will fit a second gen?

    The one worry I have is the spacing on the roof.

    The photo shows the flippac having a board to increase the roof gap already. you could the same and increase the board thickness if needed.

    Some stick on chrome from pep boys
    when I mounted mine the inner rails of the shell dropped really low blocking the use of the factory lash rails inside the bed and I had to find a solution so I could secure kit inside.

    This, the L-Track riser was born. 1x3” aluminum square tube welded into a large U shape along with some strips of 1” L-Track. Since the FlipPac was now up an inch higher I went ahead and added more L-Track along the sides to satisfy my “why not” train of thought and it has actually turned out to be useful.

    Benefit for me is that the lid when opened would easily clear a prinsu rack so now I have one of them as well for overflow storage if needed.

    Do you mind posting a picture of the riser, if taken one? And did you do anything for the rear tailgate?

    I was thinking about doing a similar height, but using 2x3 to get it up a little more.

    Adventure Trailers in Prescott, AZ installed mine and they told me that they were going to remove the caps so I pulled them at home before I drove out to Arizona. Never an issue for me to date.
