Got it all set up and tried it on. Nice build quality and very comfortable. Getting my new welding table set up and will dick around with it.

You can’t tell but I’m making a duck face.

Does the Vulcan? Or are you saying all the of brand Chinese ones are risky?

Already bought it. Still gonna use it, but good looking out.

If nothing else it'll make it easier to get my medical weed script in ten years :rasta:

LOL I know right. I don’t weld here though. It’s my first floor/basement where I store all my tools and shit. I do all my welding outside.

I bet you could weld there at least once before you burn your house down.

Fun fact, I’ve welded in there like 5 times. Then I watched some videos on YouTube of a house on fire and I decided to not weld in there anymore.

My wife is just a very tolerant person

Out house is weird. It’s three floors, with the first being a work area/basement and where we enter the house.

Second floor is kitchen and living/dining room.

Third floor is bedrooms and bathrooms.

I use pliers in a vice to do mine
This. I spent a pretty penny on my helmet for this reason.
At the rate we're going, you'll go buy it at 7-11. Shit, where I live there are like five dispensaries within 15 minutes of driving.

Try not to heat the table surface too much...I noticed those tops are plated with zinc which is toxic when welded

Picked up this little guy yesterday with a coupon and happy. A lot heavier and thicker gauge than the Husky boxes I have.

Be wary.. These are the knockoff variants of the Astro's. I bought one from Amazon (normally 30-40$ for the non-knockoff one) and they sent me some china-made one. I tried it, it worked then I went to charge it and it fried itself and melted making a mess. Amazon sent me a replacement unit with a refund after I sent them photos of what happened and the mess it made on my work bench. The replacement was an actual astro one and much better quality. I've had that one in my truck for 2 years with no issues now.
