First impression, this just one more super great thing about my truck, I love it! Thanks Mat for all your hard work!
I was running 1.04 and was very happy with that tune. On 1.05 the first thing I noticed was that it was quieter than before. I have a modified magna flow cat back exhaust, it's loud enough that I have considered going back to stock. I was pleasantly surprised by how composed it felt. The engine feels more efficient, it feels like the drive train feels like it one cohesive thing. Transmission shifts felt smooth and controlled. I got a lot of input from my truck in a short 10 mile test drive. Can't wait to go to work and access the improvement on my 30 mile commute. The down shift from 6 to 5 was amazingly smooth. I did feel like on 1.04 the truck was starting to feel like it was working harder than I thought it should be.

I heard it mentioned here that you may have some stickers with your logo and website any other advertising swag that you may have, I be interested in getting.

I got a lot shit on my truck, but this is by far the best mod that I've done.

Happy New Year! Looking forward to a really great 2019. My wife told she wouldn't let me sell my truck, actually got aggressive and raised her voice. Man that was hot!

    105 91 3rd version.

129 miles - 15.0 mpg in d mode drove awesome all day. Truck held 5th and 6th much better.

My wife drove home and I asked her how it felt, “it feels good”! 105 passed the wife test.

On a side note has anyone had any idle instability under a hi amp draw? I ran my arb cmk12 and it was drawing 40 amps and the idol was bouncing around 300 rpm. I will email Mat tomorrow. Just checking if anyone else could or had duplicated a similar condition.

Happy new year, feels like a new truck. Thanks Mat!

I flashed 1.05 91 cold motor and did not let it idle for 10 minutes. Everything works awesome (just a tiny idle surge only when cold, in reverse, that idles up when letting off the brake - which has always been present, but got 10x better with 1.05). Is there something about letting it idle 10 minutes that is supposed to a difference? No I wonder if 10 minutes after flash might remove this idle surge - thinking of re-flashing and seeing if makes a difference, but every time i flash I feel "lucky" it was successful, and don't want to mess with it!

Meh. I've never had an unsuccessful flash and every time that I do, I have sub-optimal battery voltage lol 11.4-11.6v

It'll be fine. You can reflash if you want. But the failures are rather uncommon I'd say. The people reporting them just have a louder voice is all and it makes it appear otherwise

Me too, I'm not sure where the 12.2 volts everyone claims is optimal, came from. My last one reported 11.6/11.7 volts and was fine.

I've had it happen twice in all the times I've flashed this thing, just re-tried and it worked. Battery voltage didn't change much in those few seconds between attempts. It's been below 12V plenty of times. Again, meh.

The "10 minute idle" process is pretty much just to speed up the idle learning process. Idle will learn either way. I've always just let it idle for a couple minutes and go myself.

@OVTune - Got my files Sunday night. Still have not flashed them. Was a bitch just to download them to my computer after all the MS update changes for security. Made the exception rule for the files and executable programs. May try tomorrow as the temps here are too f'n cold to even work in an enclosed garage (1 degree now). Thanks Mat for taking care of us 3rd Gen Taco drivers. My apologies for any goose chases and annoyances I may have caused. Looking forward to 1.05. Happy New Year and many thanks for your work and attention.

So, that was scary. Got everything setup perfectly the way I always have, tested by identifying the ECU and everything worked. I then went to flash the ECU and this happened at 10%.

So I retried and the same thing happened at 9%. Tried again and the same thing happened at 11%. I tried to identify the ECU and all it said was that it completed successfully. No info. I rebooted the computer, used a different USB port, and got everything set back up. p5 still wouldn't identify the ECU and the flash failed again. I retried a few more times and then it said it completed successfully with the following image.

WTH? I have never had that happen before and now I'm concerned because the p5 software will not identify the ECU. Anyone else experience this?

Quick question before I update to 1.05.... I've looked in the FAQ and through the thread to the best of my ability, but 1700+ pages is just a ton the read through.

I've had 1.03 and 1.04 and flashed the TCU for those tunes. 1.05 does not have a TCU tune, just the ECU. So am I ok to just leave the TCU tune that's on there alone? Should I flash the TCU back to stock somehow? Does 1.05 just overwrite the TCU changes from previous versions?

Apologies if I missed this somewhere.

1.05 incorporates both files into one,you only need to flash the file that matches your ECU.

    Beat again..

Just flash the new ECU file, they are combined into one file now.

Has anyone else noticed coming from the earlier tunes that theres less low end power on 1.05? 1.03 91 tune had noticeably more low end torque than 1.05 91 I'm noticing. Not sure if it's a lack of power or if it's just the throttle maps being less linear. Or maybe I tuned 87 by accident. I was high when I did this but I'm 98% sure I loaded 91 into my ECU. Anyone else notice this?

1.03 was known to have an aggressive tip in. Maybe this is what you are feeling .

Okay that's what I thought. I'm on 35s and that aggressive tip in helped me hold gears better. I understand this is a base tune. I'm gonna stick with 1.05 because everything feels so damn smooth. It's like a caddilac. I'll just wait for mat to begin custom tuning and I'll see if he can integrate that into my tune. Thank you for the fast reply!

The ECU cannot be identified when a flash fails, but that's normal. Doesn't mean anything is damaged.
