It wouldn't cost Toyota a dime to sell the Access Cab TRD Off Road with a manual in the US. I just don't get why its not an option here. I'd prefer that configuration too. I have a TRD OR short bed now, but I'd rather have bed length over seating. Not a big fan of the hood scoop on the Sport.

Interesting enough they don't sell DCSB Off-Road trim MT in Canada, go figure :annoyed:

In order to drive a manual trans you need to be smarter than the truck.

It depends on needs. I needed the LB more with the MT. The AC works great for our family.

I would have liked the locker, but that's not bad to add if needed down the road.

Weirdly, the Sport suspension is great without the swaybar. It is weird because that is something that I would never say about a car.

Because it has leaf springs and a solid axle.

Sport MT AC is underrated. Kind of wish I had got one. Corners better.

Not sure I've ever worried about 'cornering better' in a truck that has an offroad tuned suspension and ground clearances, tbh.

    In the other ride? Sure.

I had a 2016. I traded hoods with a guy who had a TRD Off Road and wanted the leaning tower of scoop on his hood. Sorta wish I'd just kept that one...

MT AC OR LB is what I originally wanted and was disappointed to find out not available. Worked out as my WR250R fits in the SB ok, anything bigger/heavier will need a trailer IMO.
Installed the Pro Fox shocks on my truck and have been wanting to try the sport front sway bar. My understanding is it’s the same as the Pro.

Traded my auto ‘13 for a manual ‘17 last night. I loved my second gen but this one is a lot more fun to drive and even in manual it got about 21 mpg driving back for 3 hours through the Blue Ridge mountains...according to the computer anyway. I’m impressed.

The Sport SB is STIFF! Annoyingly so.

It's great for smooth roads, but any uneven bumps are just ridiculous.

Interesting, maybe the OR sway bar and the Fox pro shocks are the sweet spot.

You can add a locker if you miss it. Some guys go DC just to get the locker. Seems like a locker is easier to add than subtracting cab and adding bed but YMMV.

My OR wallows around corners, but hey it's a truck.

It is still a bit rough when going over small bumps, and the back end will get squirrely if unloaded.

The suspension is smooth over larger dips/whoops, that's for sure. Compliant.

Pretty much everyone that's rode in it comments on how smooth it is, "for a truck".

Actually I just picked up some 5100s for the rear of mine. Not gonna lift, just experiment with stock front ant the billies rear. I like how the front handles but wouldn't mind a lil less stiffness in the rear. Will see how it goes
