A couple photos with the rear facing car seat in the middle and booster seat next to it. The only trouble spot I noticed was my son couldn’t get his hand between the booster seat and rear facing seat to buckle his seat belt. We may take my son out of the booster seat to make more room considering he’s reach the minimum age limit to sit without a booster.

I have a front facing Dino behind the passenger and a rear facing Key fit 30 in the middle. Works well for all positions and someone can ride behind the driver also. The Dino is a great seat that is narrow.

For the love of the seat fabric people put a towel or a blanket under the seats. I've noticed a lot of car seats are hard on seat fabric and will cause weird wear patterns

Agree completely. I have a car seat mat which seems to help a bit.

Haha I didn't realize people did this. I get too OCD if I have to put a car seat in the truck and it leaving weird Mark's on the seats.

We have a Keyfit 30. Works behind the passenger as long as you really don’t need to sit in the seat. Works better in the center, just not as easy to install but no interference with either front seat. For reference though, my company pickup is a Chevy, and the front passenger with the car seat behind it still loses a lot of leg and reclining comfort.

I got these from Amazon. Cover and kick mats. Both are water proof.
Only thing I don't like is I have to take the cover off to fold down the seats. But it keeps stuff from falling into the seat cracks.

The seat impressions don’t bother me that much. My wife has kick mats in her Camry.

It's not the depressions you have to worry about. The car seat ruins the fabric by abrading the surface.

The diono radian is amazing. I’m 5”10 and like to have my seat leaned back since I sit against the lumbar more than have my shoulders against the seat. I can put the radian behind the driver seat rear facing with the optional “wedge.” My daughter is forward facing in it now and eventually it will be her booster seat as it’s a convertable. Another plus is it’s narrow. I could easily fit 3 side by side.

I work hard for my money and while I don't have kids I wouldn't want my seats ruined.

I 2nd that, we have two Diono Radian RXT's and they fit well, they can also go 3 wide in most vehicle as they are a fairly narrow seat.

I work hard for my income, and I have a kid. After 8 years of some form of car seat used on various seats, both fabric and leather, I have not observed the form of degradation you speak of.

    ^^^ agreed.
I installed Clazzio Seat Covers as a secondary form of protection. 2 years later with the little one in the back and swapping from an infant car seat to full size child seat, no damage to speak of.

Before I even took delivery of my truck, I got a brand new set of take off seat covers online. They are OEM, someone wanted to switch to leather, so they sold their factory ones. Now, If something does happen, I do have a spare. But I am hoping that I never need to use them.

I have a Gracco 4Ever Extend2Fit behind the passenger seat rear facing and there is enough room for a normal sized human in the front seat, although are somewhat close to the dash, though definitely not touching.

Prior to that I had the Keyfit 30 with the same results.

I actually purchased the Radian RXT based upon the reviews here and found it didn’t give me a warm and fuzzy feeling. I have no doubt it’s a great seat, but it just wasn’t for me.

I don’t know what impact the seat will have on the foam on my cushions but I purchased a set of Covercraft waterproof covers to protect the fabric and was very impressed with them.

We’ve got Diono Radian with the seat adjuster. I’m 5’10 and the seat fits comfortably behind the driver seat.

My wife purchased Gracco car seats a while back since that’s her preferred brand. Had I considered fitment in the Tacoma sometime sooner, it looks like I should have purchased a Diono car seat based on responses to this thread.
