Just put my jaybird x3's through the washer and dryer by accident and they still work. So they have my vote.

In that case, here are a few songs I enjoy while lifting:

    1) For Today - One Voice https://youtu.be/r7kCmsYBGEM

    2) Trivium - Declaration (for the record...I’m not normally a fan of this band but, I dig this track) https://youtu.be/yO6jSrmJUqI

    3) War of Ages - Collapse https://youtu.be/aCX5eXo-4jk

    4) August Burns Red - American Dream https://youtu.be/4-dD7EJdC8w

    5) After The Burial - Lost In The Static https://youtu.be/CbVJ2m6Xyw8

You’re not too far from my stuff. I have to blast it for maximal lifts. Brings the rage from within. I swear it makes me stronger. Bang it so loud I can’t hear myself think.

The folks at the Ace Hardware we share the building with though... they don’t quite know what to think. Haha.

Other notes... I made it through the week of Christmas without letting my diet fall apart. Tracked every day except one. Only sitting one pound heavier than a week ago. 164 this morning.

Coach took away 10g carbs again leaving me at 175p 220c 70f. So ready for this cut to be over.

Strength is hanging on fairly well, but it’s definitely suffering. Pulled 425x3 for today’s top set. 445x3 is my best.

Squatted 330 3x5 yesterday. Every set was a grinder.

My “one-pec close-grip bench press” is abysmal as always, but doesn’t seem to be suffering as much as the other lifts. Hit 3x3 @95% today. (175).

Regardless that you are cutting, those are impressive numbers for being #164. Great job!

To be honest you can choose either route, if your looking to bulk up with muscle and try and fill yourself out a bit then go with the heavy short reps if your trying to slim up and cut then your definitely going to want to go with light weight with a lot of reps. Both ways you will see results and if your eating right, resting up and staying hydrated you will see results extremely quickly

Chiro is sending me to the ortho Friday to have a look at my hip. I attempted and 800# squat. Unrack went flawless depth was on point and then all of a sudden coming back up (extreme grinder btw not going to toot my horn) my whole right side shifted and I folded in at the waist. Luckily my spotters caught the bar and no one was hurt but me. But on a pain level of 10 I’m at a 7 on doing normal day to day activities so hopefully it’s just inflamed or something not bad but my chiro didn’t even want to attempt to adjust it back.

It felt a little fine:itllbuffout: but it wasn’t any type of major just mostly air squats seeing if I had gained any mobility back in. Most of the guys here know the day after my shoulder surgery I was in the gym and continued every day.

Nope. I just had my whole left arm taped up and when I went to the gym the girl that works the desk would take ace bandages and wrap my arm around my stomach to keep me from moving it. Of course all this was AMA. But I didn’t care.

I had a sling with my forearm sticking straight out from my body. I’d prolly run into shit haha.
If I had to do it over again I would get back in the gym faster and would have pushed myself more.
