Truck has 49000 miles and needs tires. Would like to put the BFGoodrich KO2 instead of the OEM Michelins. The truck is used everyday for work and I drive about 30,000 miles a year. I very rarely go off the blacktop with the truck but I do drive in the snow and I love how the BFGoodrich look. Have any of you put the KO2 on a limited? Did you like them? Thanks for all of your opinions.

Only upside to KO2s is off-road traction and looks. They lose in every other category like MPGs, rain, snow, ride, noise etc. Stick with the Michelin’s unless you only care about the looks.

OEM are Michelin LTX M/S2. They are good tires but if I have to buy new ones I was thinking of trying the KO2 because I always liked how they look.

Take a look at the falken AT3W in SL load rating. They look much more aggressive and are good off-road while maintaining fuel economy and are quiet on road.

The KO2’s look great. But you are gonna notice the difference immediately. On the bright side, you’re gonna have to make the decision again in 1.5 years.

The KO2’s are stiffer (even the C loads), noisier, and don’t ride as smooth. They wear well for most people.

I’ve had the c and e load KO2’s as well as the Michelin LTX AT2.

My next set will be the LTX AT2. I’ve only had 265/70/17 and 265/65/17 sizes though. I imagine the 18” are similar.

Don’t buy K02 expecting improved snow performance. They are worse than the tires you have.

I love my KO2's, but I'm going to go with Bridgestone Dueler Revo-3's Soon. My 265/70/17's are just a hair too big, and I can't get KO2's in 265/65 in a C tire.

I have 265/75/16 KO2 in an E tire. I honestly don't see why y'all are afraid of E tires. Tires are smooth on the road, and I don't hear a difference in road noise than when I had C rated Firestone Destination A/T.

Nothing wrong with the E's, but I have no need for them. The new Bridgestones are only 41 lbs. Had E's on my 2nd gen. They were great.

Don’t buy the falken Wildpeaks... their known to be very difficult to balance. I had the Ko2’s put on. I like em. There is a little more slide in wet pavement than stock but only if your on it.

45000 miles on my falkens and zero issues and still going. Lots of other people running them with no problems.

OP I don’t know where you from but I live in the northeast and have used both of those tires. And simply put the ONLY two times that the KO2s will out perform the Michelin LTXs is...

    1) Deep snow-more than one foot on Unplowed unpaved roads

    2) Serious off-roading-Moab stuff of that nature/especially mud (LTXs suck in any mud)

I drive on many easier hunting trails with a trailer with P rated Michelin’s and never had a problem. In respect to ice, light snow, and rain the Michelin with destroy the KOs all day everyday. Those tires have gotten me home in many blizzards too! IMHO they are no competition for the LTXs for “road purposes”. And arguably light trail use. I found in general that Bfgoodrich truck tires tend to harden in colder weather making for less traction especially in wet weather.

I have SL Wildpeaks are they are awesome. Highly recommend them. Although I did do the Roadforce balancing just to be safe.
