I'm going to guess and say Oregon or Washington. He found white tail and elk, plus the terrain is wet and green.

Btw, that is a nice elk. Cool little devil horn on it.

I'm in Oregon. We don't get to keep deadheads here. Its pretty dumb, especially because this one is on our property. I actually have quite a few pics of this bull when he was kicking during bow season. Somewhere I have a couple pics of him on a cow haha

Close, but its a blacktail, not whitetail haha. We have some whitetail in Oregon, but nowhere near where I am.

Yep, its supposed to deter poaching so I can understand it a little, but its still annoying. I've had to leave a number of nice deadheads to rot in the woods. There are some hoops you can jump through to get permission to keep them on occasion which I'll try to do with this one.

Here it's the lazy asses that grid the winter ranges on 4wheelers. They have ruined it for the rest.

Could you find them and hide them till later? I mean, if you accidentally came across one of course.

Yes and no. Lots of guys are going around GPSing antlers and then make a mad dash on opening day. But if you actually picked it up and stashed it, and were seen doing it you would get a fat ticket.
