That's about all I expect out of mine, year and a half depending on how much abuse I give them. I think +/- 35k miles on an AT that sees a lot of trail time is a successful run.

I’m glad I did the LT up front then. After the kit was installed I switched from 265s to 285s with no trimming/hammering required.

    I have mods
I'm running 285/75/16. Some rubbing issues but with the 1.25" wheel spacers, they are minimal and I haven't had to do much more than bend the pinch weld and trim some of the fender liner.

Technically that's all I had to do as well but a lot of it...I dunno maybe it wasn't that bad, I just know some people don't have to do much at all depending on their wheels. I had rubbing issues even with my 32s.

Jesus might as well just go 35s at that point LOL

No that's for 285 75 r17 which is not the same as 285 75 r16 the 285 r16 is actually an inch lower than a 285 r17 due to the larger wheel size

Has anyone replaced their trans breather with a fitting for a hose?

    Two questions:

Doesn't appear this one has anything I can get a wrench on. Am I just looking at grabbing the bitch with vise grips? If so, this looks like it's going to be a PITA. Are the threads the same as the fitting for the rear diff? I have the part number for that fitting if it's the same.

Also... Is there a breather on the Tcase? I can't friggen find it.

You might want to re-do the clamshell seal. I used blue gasket maker, but the proper stuff is Toyota Orange FIPG which I didn't have at the time.

Had a productive day on the Taco today.
Did the “gray” wire mod for the diff lock , which was successful, and installed 2 new rear window latches on the extra-cab.
Also did some interior cleaning. 1D2CD7D3-4D8E-434B-8C72-CBA11E7219FC.jpg

I did the grey wire mod recently. It’s so nice to have it on the fly!! You do need to slow down to about 5mph still tho
