Hey everybody. It took me 50 years but I finally got me a Toyota 4wd. I bought a 2006 Toyota Tacoma 4x4 sr5. It's completely stock and I would like to put a lift and some 33's on it. I was wondering if a 3 inch lift would get me there and was considering either a rough country, wulf, or tough country. All three are between $300-$400. I wanted to know if that would clear 33's and wanted to know what my fellow Tacoma users thought about which lift to use.

Welcome. There is so much info on this site about that. Use the search feature, there is also a sticky you might want to read. What type of driving are you wanting to do? Are you willing to trim, cut and use a BFH on your truck? Or are just going for looks and will only be driving it on the street? There is everything from a $200 dollar spacer to a $25K rework. Good luck.

Hey Mully. I'm a big hunter so it definitely isn't just for looks. I'll definitely be using mud terrain or aggressive all terrains. I don't want to be doing any major cutting. I want suspension lift and not body lift. What do you think? If 3 inch rough country will clear 33's, that's what I'd like to go with.

Can’t fit 285’s without the CMC (cab mount chop). You can fit skinny 33’s (255) without having to trim, they look goofy as hell to me though

It all depends really on how much you want to spend. Personally, I would not install a RC lift on my truck. I did this for about a grand, will cost a bit more, but would give you the lift you need. If your gonna run 33s, you will have to trim. I also do not recommend a drop bracket lift. Again, my opinion only. I have FOX 2.0s at 3" and stepping up to 285s now.

Wow! How much lift would it take to clear them and what lift would you recommend? Preferably be teen $300-$500?

Ok. I was hoping for something in a cheaper price range. What lift would ya'll recommend for 32's in my price range?

A 3" lift, cab mount chop, trim both front and back of the front fender, hammer over pinch weld seam, depending on wheels and tires, might have to trim fender flare. Would also recommend replacing the ring and pinion gears. Also do lots of research before taking on this task. Contact @Headstrong they will set you up with everything that you need.

Spend more, get a nice set of coilovers. Kings, Icons, Fox and others.

Toytec, Bilstein 5100s, OME coils and Eibach coils are good choices

You can lift it with just a spacer and jam 33s in there, but trust me, you will not be happy. At all.

I was hoping to get away with a little cheaper kit. Do ya'll think I can make 32's with one of these kits?
