FN FX Pro wheels

Contact Dustin and discuss the issue with him. He is a very professional dude and I’m sure he would want to know if there is an issue with the wheels. He is concerned about quality control just as much as we are.

 

I will, I left a message over the weekend. Im still doing some things testing it out to verify stuff.

 

As an outsider looking in, I, as the vendor, would have a hard time taking back wheels that have been in use for 25k... Who knows what kind of abuse it could have endured during that time to go out of round (if it is indeed the wheel that is the issue) These wheels go on trucks that see off pavement conditions in which wheel damage is not terribly uncommon if you wheel hard. Not saying this is the case with you but it is some food for thought. It would be a different circumstance if this issue was address 20k miles ago.

If it is the wheels, hopefully it is just one wheel and you can narrow it down. That will at least making shipping and replacement much easier if that is the course of action.

Not knocking you op, just throwing so perspective. I really hope it turns out to be something simple and you can get it resolved easily. We pay a lot of our trucks, tires, wheels, maint...etc so when something does not function properly as it should, it would drive me crazy too.

 

Any one got a pic of the Dark Gloss with the FNW center caps (like the silver trd but instead of red TRD, it's black FNW). Prefer on a MGM tacoma if possible with black lugs.

Or did they and I just didn't know this? I would love to have this center cap. It looks like the letters are recessed back into the cap also.

 

I think they do have those caps. I got the FNW silver caps on light matte gunmetal.

 

Yeah. I just wanna know if there have been any others with issues. Since new I’ve had shake that wouldn’t go away no matter how I balanced or rotated them. That’s why I’m checking everything now, moving tires around. I actually felt some shake this morning on the stock wheels. So I don’t know. What’s the chances of having 2 bad sets of tires

 

All it takes is one bad tire in each set. It happens. And it sucks bc that's going to be soo time consuming to find out if it is that too. Good luck man

 

It has been extremely frustrating dealing with this stuff. Amongst many other strange issues with this whole truck that I cannot seem to resolve. It just keeps costing time and money and nothing works

Color matched Yes, but not the ones in that particular photo. Engraved No. Just a sticker.

Engraving sounds cool and I would have loved those on my centercaps too. But if you can't get that, not sure if you know that import equipment makes decals that are designed for placement on these centercaps. I got the TRD decals in orange and black to see which i like better when I get my wheels installed. So there are other options to personalize.

Yeah I know about the stickers. It's just so hard to visualize what certain colors will look like on your particular wheel color on your particular car color so I start to get overwhelmed by all the color options and give up on trying to pic one each time I got to the site haha.

I got an MGM taco with the high dark gloss wheels. Wanted to do just the subtle matte black trd and be done with it but if I can get my center caps with an engraved FNW that would be best b/c then you can basically color fill that in with any color till you find one you like with little effort. But they way the come in the pic I posted is already enough color contrast for me to where I'd just keep them like that for now.

 

Ha... that's why I have a set of orange and a set of matte black decals. I call it paying the Indecision Tax.
