I dig it! I just need to sort out some type of tire carrier, other than that the only other hang-up seems to always be the low hitch, and side wings always collecting shit.

I'm still in between theirs, CBI's and C4's. Mobtown has the best price point, CBI has the best styling and C4 is kind of in the middle. But yeah I'm in the boat to buy one as my next big purchase for 2019. Then maybe a tune.

I hear you, a bunch of good fabricators out there doing good work, makes it hard to decide. Don't wanna sound like a total fanboy of Mobtown, but my experience with their armor so far has been pretty freakin' awesome. Hands down over built and over engineered, with second to none customer service.

Thanks for the praise. I think over engineered has a negative connotation. I prefer well engineered. :D

I don't think the rear bumper I want exists. C4 used to have one but now it looks like they stopped making it. Features I want in a bumper

    1. Preferably no cutting of the bed involved. yes I know this means no high clearance
    2. Back up and BSM compatible. The cross traffic warning from the BSM is too huge to give up living in LA and dealing with parking all the time.
    3. Hi-Lift Jack points on both sides. So far the only one I have seen that has this is the ARB summit.
    4. keeping the factory hitch and its rating.
    5. Rear swing out that can hold Rotopax, spare tire, and high lift (preferably horizontally). @C4 Fabrication used to have this on the overland bumper but now it's only on the high clearance
    6. Cutouts for extra back up lights or rear mounted floods
    7. Back up camera relocation.

The overland bumper (non high clearance) from c4 was perfect does anyone know why they stopped making it with the swing arm and bsm?

the high clearance one has the swing out option but you have to cut the rear fenders just below the tail lights. No thanks to that.

I think C4 still does, going through their older posts, but you may have to contact them directly. For your other needs you can always contact a custom fab shop that can add your hi-life jacks and cut outs. It's not too hard.

I would do like @rlx02 said and reach out to them.. I know per their Instagram they have been redesigning their 3rd Gen stuff including a brand new tube/hybrid front bumper, so they may have taken the other options down until the redesign with new photos is done?

Ya I mean you can always add anything if time and money is there . It would just be ideal to have it all done and designed to work together.

Not positive but I think they ditched the BSM because to many people were having issues.

I basically want the same thing as you. I don’t want to sacrifice any of the stock features, but as a casual off roader I don’t want to lose my bumper caps every time I go over something with an insufficient departure angle. Id rather have a steel bumper that will scrape a little and be just fine.
I also messaged C4, and they confirmed that they are discontinuing that bumper due to BSM issues. Not sure exactly, but I have to think that the problem was that the opening for the BSM was too small. Other than that it should work exactly like the factory system

So I mean even if we abondon the bsm has anyone seen a no cut bumper with the rest of the features?

:help: Kinda seems like you're looking for an unicorn ...
Looks like Fab Fours had /has bumper that reuses factory tow point, and it has some kind of swing out. Not sure about rest of requirements...

I found Mobtown's bumper very appealing. Heavy duty af, cool swing out (or 2 if you prefer), space to mount tire, Rotopax (or Jerry cans option), aluminum table, camera relocation bracket, back up sensor holes, recovery points (they don't cut holes for hi-lift, so I'll have to get and adapter for recovery) Buuuut they don't reuse factory tow point. They do build one into the bumper, and as most (or all) other fab shops, they don't rate them.

On their page they have a pic of one with Rotopax mounted on a swing out.

Has anyone with a steel rear bumper with swing out, tire carrier and gas can noticed if their ass end is sagging?

From the front of my bed to the rear of the bed drops about an inch. I assume it’s the weight of the bumper causing this?

Hmm, wait a minute.... So space between back of cab and front of bed is not even? Diverging at the top?
That's wouldn't be good at all, I think
