I need to buy PS Plus so we can play. Haven't played my favorite game (GTA Online) in more than 2 years.

 

Been doing it since ps2 and my 2004 Yukon Denali

 

I do not do GTA Online...

 

My PS2 days were the shit. I was like 4, and addicted to a game called Big MuthaTruckers 2.

 

I blew a fuse in my mom's 2004 Honda Odyssey EX trying to play my PS3 on the rear-seat entertainment system!

 

I bought a modded account for $20 bucks. It came with $5 billion in the bank, and rank 700.

 

Now, I just play MLB: The Show 18. I usually buy it every year.

 

I think I love the utility of the truck and 4wd, but I'm not that attached. I keep looking at Diesel Colorados for the milage, towing capacity, and torque for off road. I'm especially interested in the ones that come with front AND rear lockers. What I would like is for Toyota to make, what Chevy is making: diesel 4x4 with front and rear lockers, then I could have the Toyota dependability as well.

Oh... and I'd like a little sports car to drive to work in.

 

I've heard from many "IT" folks say it was real and fake. As in both sides... Regardless honestly it's just a very dumb programming oversight. Always program with limits in the astronomical range, avoids issues like this. Haha

But I digress, it has nothing to do with the odometer haha

 

^^True dat. Taco World has helped to me to all sorts of preventative maintenance that I wouldn't normally have dreamed of doing myself, including: spark plugs, coolant, front brakes/rotors, thermostat, rad hoses, clean throttle body/MAF, full flush of auto tranny fluid, power steering fluid change, change gear oil in diffs and xfer case, rear diff breather mod, and probably a bunch of other stuff I can't recall at the moment. These trucks are pretty easy and fun to work on when you have Taco World to inspire and inform you!

Just about everybody on TW knows about the trouble I've encountered over the years when taking pictures of vehicles (typically Chevy trucks) and air-conditioners. I've been self-confessed shutterbug since about 2009, and in that time I have NEVER been accused of anything truly nefarious...

However, my best friend Doug wasn't so lucky last month (technically last year), and he wasn't even taking pictures!

He was at a mall (it was either Montgomery or Willow Grove, I forget) doing some Christmas shopping. He inevitably needed to take a bathroom break and got in line for a unisex restroom near the food court. There was a young guy and his roughly 9-year old daughter waiting in line in front of Doug.

Doug was just waiting in line, minding his own business, and all of a sudden this overprotective father confronts Doug for "looking at his daughter." Just out of the blue, this guy accuses Doug of being a perv, when Doug wasn't even looking at the kid. He said something like "I'll bet mall security would love to meet you" and just kept antagonizing Doug until he got out of line and went to use another bathroom.

As Doug walked out of the bathroom corridor a few minutes later, he saw that the guy was still waiting in line (albeit without his daughter; she was presumably using the restroom), and flipped him off for good measure as he walked back out to the food court.

I've been friends with Doug for ten years now, and he is an Aspie like me. He has a driver's license, a car, an associate's degree, and a job; However, he is a bit lower functioning than I am, and quite a bit more socially inept. One thing about us Aspies is that we can come across as one way even when our feelings are exactly the opposite, if that makes sense...

There have been times when people have assumed I'm pissed off at them or wanting to "fuck them up" because of a look on my face that I didn't even realize I had. I think it is entirely possible that Doug may have stared at this asshole's kid a bit too long without realizing it, but I think that making assumptions and calling him out in front of all those people was uncalled for.

What do you guys think?

 

I worked as a barback at a popular nightclub for 4 years. In the interest of trying something new, I applied for a part-time job as detail technician at a local dealership last August and started the job in September. I make $10 an hour with a flat rate depending on the type of vehicle (1.2 hours for new sedans, 1.5 hours used car/reclean sedans, 1.7 for smaller SUVs, 2.0 for pickup trucks, minivans, and larger SUVs; Extra hours for things like paint sealant/fabric sealant, and tape stripe removal, etc).

My dream career is to become an HVAC technician, but for right now detailing vehicles is an excellent source of income that allows me to keep the Tacoma insured and properly maintained while still having a social life, among other things. I also drive for Uber Eats, but this thread is about my job as a detailer.

Does anybody else detail for a dealership or have their own detailing business?

We definitely need to play GTA Online. I'll protect you, I have every military vehicle you can think of.
