UPDATE: just got off the phone with the dealer who has my truck AGAIN... and they are going to call me when the service rep gets there so I can go over there and plead my case once again hopefully that gets me somewhere

See if you can get "judgement call" in writing and they never went into it in writing instead of verbal.

Toyota has commercials of this truck racing up and down fucking sand dunes then they’ll turn around and tell a lineman that travels down dirt paths and corn fields that he’s using the truck too aggresively and thus refuse to cover the diff??

    WTF?

OP you have not been using your truck for anything Toyota has not advertised its stock trucks to be used for. With the exceptionof pulling people out. If you were spinning your rear tires pulling someone you can excessively heat the fluid. Its usually best to to pull people out, too much risk of damage to your vehicle.

This is covered under the factory warranty so Toyota is the payer not tge dealer. Deal with Toyota.

thank you for understanding where I’m coming from, if I needed a vehicle specifically for paved roads I would be in something boosted not a truck

Always remember though service advisors pretty much always know what's wrong with a truck without even looking at it. They are incredible.

You can’t mistake the truck not moving and making thuds of corse anyone is going to know it’s the diff but the service manager can’t sit there and tell me the way I use my truck is abusive and he knows what I do in the truck... if he knew every little thing I did in the truck he should be a mind reader not a service manager

What exactly was the vehicle you pulled out and how stuck was he?

Were you rocking / shocking the truck to get him out or a steady strain? Were you spinning either rear tire during the pull?

Another update just got off the phone with customer relations of Toyota and finally feel like I got somewhere told me there is no reason why this should have happened and that the service manager has no right to make a judgement call the way he did because it is not his choice on weather it gets fixed or not

Then that's what you need to tell the service manager, be as specific as possible about the event.

Right? We live in a world where warranties are denied when your 4x4 breaks while doing 4x4 things. The sentiment seems to be “well yes, it’s 4 wheel drive. That doesn’t mean you can take it off pavement...lets be reasonable here”

Alright look dude here’s your chance. Do a walk in at your nearest tattoo parlor. You’re gonna wanna get “VENGEANCE” tattooed across your throat. Stare past the Toyota rep the entire time.

    You’re welcome.
