I am planning a Maine trip for summer 2019. I will be staying a couple of nights in the Patten area. I have never been to the northern part of Baxter State Park. I am thinking about taking a day trip into the park via the northern gate and driving to South Branch Pond. Can any of you share your experiences in that location ? Thanks.

I'm in Topsham, go to school in Waterville! Family all over the Brunswick area! Anyone ever spot me? I've had the truck since March, but had a very distinct white on white Jeep Cherokee XJ lifted, off road lights, no muffler or tailpipe, and at one point, a 3x5' American flag on the back. Also had a brown 05 Grand Cherokee, led bar under the front bumper, and always had the music cranked (also had the flag on that one for a while)

I live in Topsham and work in Brunswick so I will keep an eye out for you. A single cab with a tool box in the bed and black wheels shouldn't be too difficult to find!

Really liked seeing the pics from that trip in the other thread. My father bought a camp on Nesowadnehunk recently, looking forward to exploring up there this summer.

Definitely. Grew up in Farmington (long time no see Noel), so western Maine has always been my jam.

Alright, now you've piqued my curiosity...

I don't remember anybody with the nickname of Moose, but it's been 10+ years since I've lived in town (and, depressingly, over 15 since I graduated...)

I feel you, 14 since graduation for me. I'll send you a PM rather than go the guessing game route.

    PM received. Small world, lol.

I didn't know that you'd gotten a Tacoma; I hadn't seen it pop up on Facebook. I was just up in Farmtown yesterday, buying a band saw from our old Chemistry teacher.

Truly is. Gotta love the "who are you gonna run into" aspect of going back up there.

I picked up my Tacoma in November. It's a 2004 but pretty clean, even got a new frame in July. My dad is on his second, if you see a timberland mica double cab 2nd gen with fishing stickers over the back window, probably him.

Nice. I'm surprised that they replaced the frame on an '04 that recently; I thought it was 15 years from the in-service date? Seems like the bodies on those trucks last forever, though. My '99 was like brand new underneath when Toyota bought it back, but the frame was toast.

Same, I was pleasantly surprised it had been done. I definitely would have looked for something newer had it been the original frame. We'll see how long I can keep this one in decent shape.

Fluid Film is your friend. I saw the underside of Tacoma Mike's at a meet a couple of years ago and it still looked like it did when it rolled off the factory floor.
