The question shouldn't be "why", but rather "why not?"

You could always go with a Turbo !!!! , a set of twins would do nicely on V6 !!!! . A set of 66mm Precision turbos and Precision turbo waste gates !!

Heck, I think it would be awesome. You know the first few though, will be the guinea pigs. I personally won’t get one as I’ve spent too much mullah as it is, but might be a good viable option to those that do want the extra power and a V6 rumble.

I’m guessing some of you guys live in flatter areas. For “how much power I need” how about enough to actually pull my side by side up a mountain like full size trucks do? I don’t think that’s too much to ask. I think more power would help with that, and as usual the thread has gone off topic into an argument or smart comments about supercharging in the first place.. older models came supercharged. Doesn’t have to be a Honda Civic or vw to want to supercharge it. I was looking for a little more power for general use not to “do what speedometer goes too” just more useless comments..

I just have the desire to be able to have a midsize truck size wise that has the power to easily pull what it’s rated for and not just on flat ground.

And yes the extra power wouldn’t hurt with Norma driving either lol

You take the good, you take the bad, you take them both and there you have ... the facts of thread. The facts of thread!!

Seriously, you have people on both sides of the issue. For and against. That’s what forums are for.. fact, fiction, immaturity, and flat out dumpster fires. Expecting only one opinion is well, an opinion. Personally, I’d like to see it happen.

Magnuson implied it was in the works, and one of their sales reps indicated an early 2018 timeframe.

Then they be flat out wrong!!

Maybe engineering problems delayed it beyond initial scope. I’m betting computer hiccups is the main source of the delay.

This truck would be perfect with a bit more torque, which I'd hope a positive displacement supercharger would provide. I'm not interested in hot rodding the thing around, more in being able to climb a mountain pass without having to scream the thing to hold speed.

So you want your mid size truck to tow like a full size truck? Is that too much to ask? The answer is Yes, that is too much to ask.
I want my CBR 500R to keep up with the 1000, is that too much to ask?

I hear ya. I just like giving the old thumbs up to the 4.0 any chance I get. I felt the same way you do when I got my 2014. It seemed underpowered. The SC makes it feel and perform the way a V6 should. Gives it that grunt.
