Thank you! I know that Giants aren’t as exciting as a Santa Cruz, Ibis, or Yeti but I feel the build spec and performance is one of the best bangs for the buck.

I hope that one day I can look this damn composed when I ride... As it sits, I'm pretty sure I look like this with a bike in front of me.

Also, nice bikes and truck, dude!

I appreciate it BUT..... I’m fairly certain I look the same as what you described about 90% of the time while riding. I’m often riding with guys a lot better than me. (Sometimes they also happen to use cameras for a living)

Thanks for sharing that write up, saw it on a bike while trail riding in SLC but didn't have a chance to inquire. Looks wild but im sure its sound science. The angles create the illusion of increased wheel base but I think that is just a visual trick. Do you know what the offset is by chance?

Based on the simplicity I really expected the fork to weigh less.

But thanks for the quick review. Seems just alright for a fork that costs as much as a bike though

I think it's actually more complex than a regular telescopic fork. It has 2 air springs, a damper plus a number of links for the articulation. I'm not sure how they can get this thing much lighter but I would have no problems riding a 4.6 lb fork if it had 150mm + of travel.

I have no idea. I looked at the documentation and it doesn't specify an offset. It only says that it maintains a constant offset as it goes through it's travel.

Thats awesome! Yea I definitely use the crap out of my rafters. Might eventually seal them up so I can make even more storage.

That's why you wear a full face! So the camera guy can't see you screaming after you almost wash out in the loose AF corner or looking like a tuckered dog at the bottom.

This is a solid point but A. Not sure we have any trails that would require a full-face helmet around here (dunno but maybe?) 2. I am officially out of bike money for a while after the new bike purchase + holiday season. I'm on, what I call, the top ramen recovery budget for a minute, LOL

That's why I have that Bell Super 3convertible helmet. 2 helmets in one! ...then I bought a real full face + neck brace for park laps

For me it’s not the trail but the speeds I plan on traveling at. Any trail at the right speed...I find myself with a full face most of the time unless I’m dicking off on some urban feature for hours on end

One of my worst bike accidents happened on a green section of trail that I've ridden 1000 times. Just overcooked it into a section and found myself trenching out the trail with my bike on top of me.

I don't know about this. I've had some of my worst injuries on very simple things... Did this last summer barley moving, bike slipped out from under me and I fell into a very sharp rock... 30 staples later.
