Have you pulled the tires and inspected the wheels for damage?

The Haweka adapter is listed in my vibration thread
    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/vibration-diagnostics-for-all-tacomas-write-up.520607/
Any shop that does a lot of toyota trucks should own one .

You certainly have a lot of vibrations with this truck
I beleive you are working with or at least trying to fix 4 issues .
1- Balance issues with tires creating a steering wheel shake
2 - 3000 rpm vibration in park that has to be determined ...I beleive its primary or secondary igniton ..needs a lab scope to diagnose.
3- converter clutch is now giving you greif but that should be an easy fix by popping the pan off and doing some solenoid and valving work .
4 - a possible slipping 5th gear clutch in the trans . This is coming from some of your other posts .
What year is the truck and how many miles ?

2011. 84k. Pretty sure that's the finger plate thing I seen them put on the balancer last time. Not all have used it.. I had to ask for it. one issue is anywhere ive taken it to have anyone else look at it, just say yeah I notice it, but don't know what it is and don't know how to find out and anything you do it just throwing money away to find it... say Toyotas just vibrate a lot, and send me on my way.

Doesn’t matter if theyre brand new a wheel could be damaged or bent leading to impossible balance issues.
This could be a possibility if you are having trouble with a wheel or two but may be unlikely if all 4 wheels aren’t balancing.

Just an FYI, We bought a used VW Jetta with oem alloy wheels. Took on a test drive on local roads, no problem. After several days of use we noticed a high way speed shaking of the steering wheel. We though lost balance weight perhaps. We took it to Mavis for balance. They found all four rims were bent , the inside barrels. We checked the outside of the rim with an indicator, no bends. They were all bent on the inside where you can't see. Dealer paid for all wheels to be straightened, big improvement. The inside barrel is very thin. It has been fine ever since.

Shaking again. 3 sets of tires now. Alignment done. Front end checked. Left this morning actually to go put the old wheels back on.. noticed steering shake. Went ahead and swapped wheels. Still shaking. But I found out they didn’t road force them or use the ginger adapter. He told them to use them, but another person ended up doing the balance. So I went for a spin anyway.. shake. Back at shop now

    Reserected from the dead.
If I had this much trouble, the truck would be gone. This is just rediculous.

So, took it right back. They balanced with the finger plate adapter. Road force was in the teens, one was like 23. But they put the two with the least on front. So far it’s smooth. The adapter plate possibly could have been an issue from the beginning. I don’t think it was ever used on the FN wheels. I asked discount to use them on the stock wheels though. Who knows. But for the last 30 miles it was smooth

I am interested in an update as well . The OP has been far too quiet.
The OP was suppose to have the engine put on a scope to check for engine missfires .
A very common issue with Toyota trucks . The computer in the truck doesnt set a code for the weak cylinder that is only partially firing . Only way to see this is on an oscilloscope

ive just dealt with the shake. First good balance on the cooper at34s lasted for a while.. but every balance afterword accomplished nothing.. im at 105,000 now. Still got steering shake, still got squeaky belts, still got odd engine vibrations and such at certain rpms that nobody can tell me anything about,, dealer doesnt know anything.. nobody knows a damn thing. pretty sure i now have an exhaust leak, and a cat with something knocking in it sounds like rod knock, but its not coming from the oil pan. Also have buzzing in my bellhousing that doesnt seem right either.

So here we are, at one point you said original wheels had no shake, now you say even they have. Don’t think it’s a wheel or tire issue. Have you had a good local garage check the front end and do the alignment, not firestone or mavis or any place like that?
    Check/recheck steering shaft and coupling
    Check driveshaft out of balance
Squeaky belts could be a pulley and idler problem, have that all been replaced
We gotta get this sorted out for you

yes, yes, yes, yes to all. I swapped wheels back and forth.. originally with the original tires, i never had any problems.. changed tires and wheels and have had issues ever since. went back to stock wheels, with new tires, still had some issues... got 1 good balance that lasted a while but has never been great since. Its not unbearable.. I dont know what all ive said at this point.. but everything has been changed or checked multiple times at multiple places, multiple alignments. multiple balances.. everything always shows zero with good road force. Its not a bad shake, just that light wobble in the steering wheel that you always attest to a balance issue.. but nothing has every solved it completely once i decided to go with AT tires... Yes ive changed tensioner, and pulleys, no luck. Only thing not changed is the water pump. I bought one, just never put it on. I carry baby powder with me to spray on it when it starts squeaking. Drive shaft has had all joints replaced and balanced and center support replaced.
