Guys... STAHP! Keep talking like this and I'm gonna run up my credit card trying to look like this on the bike...

SideNote... I have a protec helmet, LOL. I'm already not helping the case with aesthetics there but it's protec-ted my noggin reasonably well so far...

Dayum. No I know that’s a thing. I mean to express that if a buddy picks me up and I grab my full face and he’s all like “nah man it’s an easy trail, real mellow” or “it’s not that kind of trail” I still grab it because the speed, to me, determines my personal comfortability with what I wear in my head. And, as I said, if I’m sessioning something at low speed, I’ll probably not grab the full face. But that’s just me.

I get that. I agree with 80% of my riding being normal trail riding. If I grabbed a full face to head out my friends would look at me like I stabbed a bunny... That being said I do see more and more people wearing full face helmets on regular trails. I would say the best thing of all this is at least we all are wearing helmets now... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3W50hGEs5JE This is an amazing movie if none of you have seen it btw.

As a man stuck in Dallas... Can I get some more info??? I'm having fun on some of the dorba trails while trying to build up stamina (waaaaay out of shape) and knocking the dust off the riding chops, but I'm concerned about burning out on the same trails in GP and Dallas. Great for exercise and some basic progression but where's the closest place to party?

The place is a blast, however, its not exactly well marked. The red loop is pretty intense, however, the blue was probably the best. However, Jawz, Flow Trail, and Sweet Skull were pretty sick. it was a blast. And don't feel bad...round is a shape. lol. just joking. If you want to try something pretty fun and close, come check out the trail at Waxahachie. Its not hard, by any means, but it will get you going and its about 12 miles from start to finish. Let me know and Ill give you a tour.

They are pretty great bikes. A bit more weight than others in its class but very stiff and confidence inspiring on the downhills.

Thanks for the recommendations. I live in Norwalk. I'm new to riding so if you don't mind riding with a newbie we can meet up.

If you're new to riding, out of the trails I recommended, Marshall Canyon would be the best bet. Shoot me a PM when you want to ride, and we'll see what we can set something up.

Man, that's awesome! I might take you up on that! And... you're right... round *is*, technically, a shape but not one I'd like to maintain for long! With the trash weather we're having right now, I might just have to head down there in the next couple of weekends and give it a go. I need to step up the miles in a big way this year for some of the dumb stuff I want to get into once it warms up! What do you ride and, possibly more importantly... how do you have it duct taped to your taco truck!?

Anyone here from Bend, OR? Contemplating a move there in 2 years, from Co. I rode out there (Phil's) 2 years ago, and it was.... flat. Fun, but pretty mellow.
I hear the Makenzie area is fun. I just worry that coming from the Rockies I'll be bored. Please convince me otherwise, please....
