Question for you all but going to do some research and testing tonight after work. So my trucks AFR's were doing great, Scott was even impressed with how well the truck ran for the amount of miles and how long I had been pig rich for. But then let the truck sit for a few days while life happens, and now it is pig rich again. Low 8's. Did my Ucon shit the bed? Going to plug in tonight and have my wife watch the target AFR and actual AFR using the Ucon datalog app hoping that it is just the new AEM AFR guage that didn't like sitting. Truck feels like it is running great. Loves the cold air. Vacuum is at -19 at idle so I don't suspect a vacuum leak. Also does anyone with the Ucon know for sure if I can actually watch the AFR in real time with the datalog app?

For me it's easier to data log a sample and then look back. You can really focus on the anomalies or lack there of. However, I know you're trying to compare the Ucon's observed values versus your gauge. For that, can't you just use one of the gauge tables at the top to easily monitor it? I don't have my pc with me or I'd open it up and take a screen shot.

IIRC, just to the left of the gauges, you can choose different groupings to look at.....

Quoting an old post from N/Es06 that shows the gauges. To the left, is a selection tab system that should let you alternate between the live info being shown....I think this is what you're looking for. Look to the right in the first picture.

Some of those guys are pretty ok. Then there seems to be a several, or a few... ok, maybe a measurable percentage that seems to just troll (either knowingly or unknowingly). You can review their previous postings and see that they literally have nothing to offer, aren't here to learn, aren't here to mod or support. The third gen forum would be much improved if these trolls just stayed out of the technical threads.

    Fellas,
Looking for some input while I await a data log review by Scott.
What could cause a boost gauge to read high? I am getting high boost spikes, very brief, on my PLX gauge.
Normally I see up to 8.5lbs, over 9 on cold days. But I have been capturing max spikes of 12- 14psi?!?!
I don't think the hose is getting pinched all of the sudden. So is it reading a voltage spike at the module due to failure...?
    upload_2019-1-2_17-12-54.jpg
Or am I having as actual event that is effecting the manifold pressure?
Truck is not feeling strong, missing low end.

So... Who is this Scott person that people keep talking about? Is this someone at URD? Is the URD tune customizable? So many questions. I’m fully stock supercharged but likely running very rich. AFR getting installed before the end of the month.

Scott developed the UCON. He is the primary programmer of the tunes and can make changes to the tune as necessary to turn off cels, adjust for larger fuel injectors, etc.
There are 3 primary tunes: S1 is for stock exhaust manifolds, S2 (hotter tune) for no stock exhaust manifold cats, S3 is 7th injector support.
    The tunes are self adjusting.

A lot more info is needed.

    1. Mods (sc pulley, intake, exhaust, etc)
    2. Does it have any physical symptoms or is the only way you know it's happening through the PLX data?
    3. You say it is lacking low end, is this a new symptom?
    4. Have you changed anything recently that could potentially cause this?
    5. When is the boost spike occurring? When letting off throttle, at WOT, what RPM, etc?

    DW fuel pump kit
    UCON stage 1

Hard pulls have a roughness to them, otherwise seems smooth.
I've noticed it is more sensitive to light loads and bogs down more. Will go to ~10.9 sooner in situations where I can go up a long stretch in 5th. I know that downshifting will bring up the AFR ratio to a more ideal level, but this is a change from before.
When performing a 1-3 WOT pull it bogs harder than normal on shifts.

Spikes are WOT pulls above 3500RPM.

Only changes I have done recently were running without the cover on my aFe airbox. I have reset the ECM and logged with that off and than reset, installed cover and ran another log.

Why did you run with cover off?

How many miles have you driven since the last reset?

I have noticed after resetting the battery my truck runs better/smoother/faster after putting some miles and engine cycles on the UCON.
I think after a reset it starts off with a safer tune then ramps up the tune after it has had some time to learn.
This is what I have observed with my UCON.

One of the things I dont like about running the UCON is that only a couple people know how exactly it works. How it learns, etc?
It is designed as a self adjusting tuner for user simplicity but some of us want to know more of the specific details of its inner workings.

Probably nothing, but you have an '08. Have you checked your vacuum hoses? On the boost port, as well as everywhere else.

I have asked for more literature on the UCON and Scott said they may get around to writing something when they get the standalone unit down? I dont want to tune it myself but I would like to know what all it is capable of.

Only a basic look over. That is one of my suspicions.
