    What are some other cool backroads? Anyone wanna share? I purposely moved from NC (flat...) to come here lol background, did originally come from WAY up NorCal (6ft of snow a year), so I’m used to off-roading quite a bit

    If you like hiking there are some nice alpine lakes in the Sawtooths and gravel roads to them.

    Just curious, where up in NorNorCal? Trinity County for me.

    I am always down for trail runs. Here are some of the spots in the area that I have checked out:
    • Lot of fun roads branch out to the North from here. Lots to explore. You can get all the way from Idaho City to Lowman on dirt.

    • Another set of fun roads branch out here near Idaho City. You can get back down to Arrowrock Reservoir all on dirt from here.

    • This is where you come out at near Arrowrock. There is Thorn Creek Butte fire lookout along the way which during the summer when it is staffed they let you come up inside.

    • This is some fun dirt roads to putt around on here near Kuna. Quick easy day trip.

    • There are some good roads on the back side of Ridge to Rivers here. It is one of the back ways to get into Boise County. Somewhat narrow in places. Idaho pinstriping to occur. :)

    • There is another whole set of roads that start here near Lowman and go really far north. Lots to explore.

    • Anderson Ranch Dam area is another good easy spot to explore. You can get to Highway 21 from here on dirt as well.

    • Another easy day trip near Emmett. There is a OHV park here but you can also go out the back side and there are a couple cool dirt roads to explore.

    • More dirt roads to explore here north of Sweet, Idaho. There is Sage Hen Reservoir here which is fun in the summer.

    • Silver City is an old mining town that is a fun drive and cool old town to check out. The road up from Highway 78 is closed in the winter. If I remember correctly it opens in May?
