I am not currently but have in the past and have found it to be effective. Its also one of the most studied supplements and most studies find it to be one of the most effective supplements. So, it’s not just bro science. I didn’t like pissing every 20 minutes.

The Muscle Pharm variation has almost no taste. Just a little chalky.

I’ve never used it but if/when I get back to a dedicated powerlifting routine I’m open to trying it I just don’t know how to use it.

Is there like a particular means of cycling it?

I pee frequently anyways because I drink a gallon and a half of fluids per day. So used to that lol

Somebody said it, but creating is one of the few supps that actually has tons of research backing up it's claimed benefits. I wouldn't get all caught up in the big/bad/new/fad brand creatines you'll see offered. Plain old creatine monohydrate is all you need. I buy the unflavored stuff. It's super cheap. I usually throw it in my preworkout drink on workout days or in a shake on off days.

No need to cycle it. 5g/day, every day. Some will suggest a "loading period" for the first week or two. You would take something like 15d/day to saturate your muscles initially.

I do know creatine is one of the proven supplements. There are like 5 proven supplements and are creatine, BCAAs, whey, fish oil, and one more I always forget. Its probably one of the aminos.

Does it fuck with your HR at all?

I know it helps you dig deeper and have the power for those last few tough reps.

I don’t use preworkout because I can’t handle it. As long as it doesn’t do much to my HR I’m down for trying.

I experience zero side effects. I'm extremely anal about what I take. If it bothered me in any way, I wouldn't take it. I have read over and over about how it causes water retention. I'm sure it does to some degree, but it never made a blip on my scale, and I don't feel bloated or anything like that.

Stop worrying about that shit Andrew just look at your diet. Up your red meat content and make sure it’s a super lean cut and you’ll get all the creatine you need. It’s been proven time and time again most supplements are wasted because you already have enough in your diet to negate needing them. Most of that loading bs on creatine is just being pissed right out.

I take PWO every day which has a hint of creatine in it, but do not take anything outside of that. I don't notice any of the benefits, but I did run 12 weeks of creatine before and honestly I just felt like I wasted my money and it may sound silly, but I was too fat to reap it's benefits (IMO). Even now as lean as I try to stay, I don't use it. I rather do BCAA if I had to spent money on something else.

Otherwise I agree about the foods. Sams club has some good red meat - Top sirloin for a good price I enjoy quite a bit lol

I’ve gotten very far with eating quality foods, proper macros, and adequate calories with a well designed program.
Guess no need to mess with what works?

You "need" to build up the level in your body, and then add 5g a day for it to be effective. I don't believe in the loading, but diet alone won't do it for most. That would require you to eat over 2 pounds of lean red meat or over 3 pounds of lean chicken a day to get to that intake level. Not saying it's impossible, just saying...I salute anyone who eats 2-3 pounds of meat a day.
