I'll start off by saying 4WD is not engaged. I have tested to make sure it is engaging and disengaging properly and it is.

So in RWD when I am navigating a parking lot and need to take tight turns where the steering wheel is all the way to one direction the truck lurches/lunges/skids/stutters, it's hard to describe but it doesn't feel normal. Kind of feels as if the truck just rolled over a log.

No noises like popping or clunking, no traction control lights flashing or anything.

Now I have the stock all-seasons on and the roads and parking lots are fairly icy but the truck does not slide or lurch any other time, only when the steering wheel is all the way to one direction and mostly when in reverse.

    What could this be?

Are you braking as it is happening?

But why only when the steering is fully locked to one side? This issue has somewhat coincided with icy roads but i'm still a bit suspicious. If I was sliding under throttle I would definitely agree but at crawling speed it makes me think there is a front end/steering issue.

Hm, hadn't really paid much attention but I guess so as I do often feather brake as I am backing up to control my speed and trajectory. What would this impact?

I'm glad you prefaced this with "not in 4x4" because damn, it sounds like 4x4.

Yeah I've felt 4x4 binding before and this is not that extreme or violent but still...weird.

Maybe too much slip for VSC...
    Try disabling it.

Is this the button located on the roof panel or am I thinking of the LSD?

Yeah I can replicate it. I am taking to the dealer on Saturday but I'm hoping to figure out whether this is something really simple.

    Same button does both.
Quick press is AUTO LSD ON/VSC OFF
3 second press is TRAC OFF/VSC OFF.

So I took the truck into a covered parking lot where the payment was dry/clean and I was not able to reproduce the issue. Strange, I guess it was traction related.

issue is back and I'm not sure what this could be, going for another ride along with a tech Friday.

The steering jerks when the wheels are turned all the way to the side and as the vehicle is straightening out, but not all the time and no noises. Visual inspection from the outside does not appear like anything is stuck in the wheels or that the camber is off...super strange.

I'm also thinking it must be a cold weather thing...now that it's warmed up a few degrees to -15 the steering already feels much more normal at full turn. And the popping noise I was getting from the left LCA is also gone. Maybe it's cold bushings?
