Yes he deleted his account, or rather he asked the mods to do so and they did. Which meant a whole bunch of threads suddenly got a lot shorter! This for awhile completely broke hundreds or thousands links to various posts across the site because the URL for links to posts typically included not just the post reference number (unique across the site) but also the page number of the thread on which it was. Once DD's posts got deleted all the page numbers changed and the forum software would get confused when the requested post wasn't on the page number in the link. This is actually how I discovered DD was gone - nearly all my table of contents links on my build thread broke since DD had posted a fair number of times in my thread.

Fortunately Bob came to the rescue and fixed the forum software so it would parse the old links ignoring the now erroneous page number. Three cheers for the TW staff who are pretty darn amazing!

As to why DD completely bailed with full account deletion this time I don't really know. By the time I noticed all his content was gone. I'm guessing @Pchop has it right though!

He left because of the Pelfrey bullshit, I just found out. Someone hacked what was going on figured out who he is in the real world and he got spooked and asked TCBob to remove all his posts.

I'm hoping he comes back under a different name TBH, great guy.

He was a regualr in the 40+ thread that we all have been on for years. Thats how I found out, I asked the boys in there.

I guess it's our job to help him come up with a new name as he lurks.

To keep with his previous theme "DoorDing" I figure here are a few options:
    CornerGuard
    [IMG]

    DoorWedge
    [IMG]

    DoorCloser
    [IMG]

    De-Denter
    [IMG]

    Maybe these will help? :notsure:

I see both humor and metaphorical truth in these. Noble effort.

    Other options could be
Revolving Door (Revo for short, of course)
    Boomerang (yes, Boomer)

Poor Ben. Wonder what he'll grow up to be like? I was thinking on a more nationalistic scale though.
