30hrs to swap an engine

Someone needs to learn to work faster. I’ve done plenty of engine swaps back in the day in 4hrs or less.

There are some that are a lot more time consuming than that. Plus that is book time not necessarily how fast the tech can do it in. I can swap motors in some vehicles in that time too but some of today's vehicles good luck. My old civic I had down to 2 hrs from popping the hood to taking it for a test drive.

Shit, I can swap in a D or B series Honda motor in an hour.

I had that shit down to a science back circa 2003-2005.

Good insight. Yeah I'm new to this so I appreciate it. I think it can pry go both ways. Underestimating and overestimating. Both can go awry.

Hey guys! New to TW and have had my tacoma for about a year now. Just got my truck lifted and thought it was about time I signed up for TW. I have a small amount of rubbing in the front fender wells at low speed. I'm getting an alignment in the morning that will hopefully fix the situation, but would like a back up plan...what are some easy solutions? I'd like to avoid a CMC but will if I need to.

You can trip the plastics with a razor blade very easily. If they get as much caster out of the front as they can then you may not have any rubbing issues.

Anyone here an amateur painter? The plasti-derp on my hood scoop isn't holding up, and would like to get it painted properly with matte black for a reasonable cost ($50).

All this rain and driving around in it I think has helped in cleaning some of what's left from under the truck.

Well just got in from Efland taking a HAM test. Guess I am now a member of two radio groups!
Now waiting a while for the government and may wander over to the HAM thread for some ideas!

Need relocation advice, especially from those who are mountain bikers in this area.

Would you take an opportunity to move to Asheville?
