Dude its a 2014 pyrite mica DCSB offroad and only 36k mileage that means retired grandpa drives it to ACE hardware to fix the lawnmower. Go check it out and immediately inspect undercarriage i bet you it looks mint.

 

2014 and up dont have the rust issues as bad.

Do you know of any official press release Toyota did saying what year they changed the coating or frame prep? I have heard 2012 2013 and now 2014. I'm curious if I have much to worry about with a 2013 still looks good so far.

Nothing official but from what i have read and gather around middle to late 2013 and up should be good. I mean anytime paint or any coating gets chipped its opens it up like the hitch/tailpipe etc for rust but i routinely spray mine with fluid film before fall and spring so it helps. Only time will tell for sure so in a bout 5-10 years we can all complain and get new frames or get brand new TRD pro that fly lmao.

 

Ahhh no only front skid but i have RCI and will continue to add their skids for full set. Just waiting on their deals or group buys.
