I think that’s called sleep paralysis.

That sounds about right, pretty much describes how it felt to a T.

Circadian? I don't think fake diamonds have anything to do with sleep.

    Just pickin.

My dad has night terrors. He doesn't have the sleep paralysis but he wakes up and thinks his dreams are real so he's screaming and swinging. My parents have been married 25 years and I think my mom has adapted. She wears ear plugs and has a pillow between them. He never could find a solution.

I've been having trouble the last few months sleeping but attribute that to having lots on my mind. Babies, health, finances, all the woes and worries and stresses of becoming a new parent x2.

We are going Saturday to "At First Sight" to do a gender ultrasound. I've been heavier (as opposed to none) on the whiskey so I can at least sleep...

#Ican'tspell plus spell checker had no clue what I was trying to say so F-it oh well.

Worrying about parenthood will put you in your grave. There is no book, person(s), or advice that will prepare you enough for it. Just adapt and overcome x2. Just take it one day at a time. Being there for them in the long run with your health is a big one and you can do something about that.

Yessir. I have to keep reminding myself that everything will be ok. Someone said that "if you're worrying, you will be fine". I've had to talk myself out of overthinking "anxiety attacks" a few times. Anxiety attacks in quotes because they're not terrible, but just mild freak out moments where my mind races and goes down the rabbit hole and I put myself in a funk stressing about things that I can't change at that very moment.

"Everything will be fine. We're going to be great parents. I've seen people do more with less so our resources are sufficient."

I think everyone does. My mom said she did and still does . Everyone we've talked to says they do. I think it's pretty normal to worry I just can't get worked up about it.

Try and talk but my mouth feels like nemo's sewed shut. Body tenses.
We had a thread about sleep paralysis/nite terrors somewhere.

I get it occasionally, but I'm so used to it now that I'm aware of when it's happening and just wait it out. I know that either my body will wake up or my brain will go back to sleep.

The first time I had it, I thought I was legitimately dying. I was trying to yell for help, but couldn't get any words to come out. Finally woke up in a panic and drenched with sweat from my heart beating so fast.

I sure hope so! I've been itching to get out on some mtb trails for weeks but its been so sloppy.

I did just order a stationary bike stand that I can clip my road bike into and stay inside if it is nasty out. That will help with the "winter" coming. Got the bike all tuned up after 8 years in the shed. Ready to get my fitness on!

Need to get out to poinsett. Missed the last time you were out there. Have had a diamondback for a few years now and have only rode it through the neighborhood.
