Check with local Credit Unions. I was able to get 1.9% for 36 months and keep $1000 rebate from Toyota (win win).

For the TRD package, does the front seats have better bolstering than the SR5 (I saw the TRD late tonight and remembered its different than the SR5)? I know the patterns are different.

Holy crap, I had a revelation this morning. I've been following what folks are paying for some of their Tacos. I've been scratching my head at some of the pricing but it's clear now and I feel like an idiot (thankfully I haven't gone into a dealer yet lol).

So i've been on the Toyota website doing the Build and Price. I see the starting MSRP for the 2019 TRD Sport is $32,245 and $36,465 for the Off Road. What I failed to connect is that the base price for the Sport is for a 4x2. I want a 4x4. So I wasn't comparing apples to apples and was basing my decision on that thinking Ok, I don't want to pay an extra $4K for the OR for just rock crawl and the locker as I'm mostly highway/big city and hardly ever go 4 low. I see @shinysideup post and it clicked. So I price the same OR and it's the exact same price. Holy Hell!

So now I'm shifting to the OR. For the same price I agree with others: better to have it and not need it...especially for the same price. I do understand the Sport has a firmer suspension and the OR is softer. Now I need to go test drive an OR to see for myself.

    Damn!

How firmier is the sport? I suddenly decided I want the trd sport 4x2 after only test drove sr5.

I currently have lowered sports car which are firm.

Picked up a 2019 Cement DCSB TRD Offroad with Tech package, 16 inch tire upgrade, XP Predator Pro package (step bar blackout logos, etc), LED package, power tailgate lock, weather mats, and some other dealer crap (toyoguard, protection film) for $36,861. Sticker was $41,500 so I got about 11% off MSRP. Not the best deal but I really wanted it and I was able to take advantage of 0% financing for 36 months too.

Yes Sport is firmer. It favors street driving and OR of course favors bumpy off road. That doesn't mean the OR is terrible on hard pavement. It does just fine and is actually gives a more comfortable and stable ride if you travel roads that have some pot holes or are otherwise not as smooth as glass. The Sport for the most part does okay OR, but can rattle your teeth on a washboard type road.

Had a Dealer quote me 44,500 OTD for a 2019 DCSB OffRoad A/T with Premium, Tech, XP Predator package and tinted windows with a hard tri fold Tonneau cover. Had the paint protection package, LEDs in the bed and all that good stuff. Just seems like a lot of money for an OR.

...^^^... Dealer is asking waaaayyy tooo. much, IMO.

Do a True Car Estimate and take that to the dealer to see what he says.

Costco and USAA can get you some decent prices without the haggle too.

Yea. Told them I could get a Pro for what they’re asking for an OR :der:

Edit: It was $44k + TTL not OTD

I would have walked out the door to never set foot in that dealership again.

I am sorry but did I miss the part where is says "Comes with daily BJs for the duration of the warranty", or they just forgot to mention that on the sticker?
