Yeah. I know it's an easy install. I'm just a lazy fuck on top of traveling for the holidays, being sick, and shit weather every weekend.

Possibly. I think I want to drop the front a little more still, but I've been waiting to go out and take measurements. I don't want to do anything just yet so the redo doesn't need to be redone.

 

Ah I dont blame you man, the shitty east coast cold always scared me from doing stuff on the truck although at the same time it would force other projects to have to happen. I dont miss that east coast weather.

 

Yeah. It's been relatively warm and clear this winter during the week, but it seems to turn cold and/or rain every weekend.

 

I might be able to justify it by the time I get around to actually doing the gears. I don't expect it will be until the end of this year or the beginning of next year.

Anybody got any friends in Johnstown, Pa that want to look at a truck for me? I'm not tryna drive 9 hours round trip just to look under a truck that I see rust on in dealer photos.

 

Did you try contacting the dealer to ask them to send you pictures?

 

Ask the dealer to send you pictures of the frame. Make them work for the sale.

My instincts say not to trust a person trying to sell me something to take accurate photos of potential trouble areas. But why I live my life with the mindest that everyone is trying to fuck me over is a long story. haha

 

Absolutely. The more hoops you make them jump through, the more leverage and negotiation power you have. You should also pit dealer against dealer to make them fight for your business.

If the truck is in PA (and spent most of its life there) then chances are good that it's got rust.

Thanks ya'll. I at least owe it to myself to do some more digging. The truck ticks all the boxes except spruce. And pyrite is a damn good second choice. It would be the least amount of compromise for what I'm looking for.

 

I compromised on my color as well. Indy Ink was my second to Spruce. I didnt want grey and I wasnt going to drive a black truck again.
